Im with you except for the word race thing. First and foremost we are all human beings. Thats my take. I cant deny races though. I dont think of it as a dirty word. To me it merely describes the variances of the human race. It only divides because of perception. Thats the real problem. Culture is an integral part of race and in my view these things should be recognized and celebrated. Collectively as humans I love that we are all different in some ways. Its a treasure trove of knowledge and experiences to be shared amongst ourselves. Theres beauty in this. Different doesnt have to mean seperate.
Think how interesting life could be as you walk down the street and if you spent 15 minutes with 5 people of another culture other than your own !!!
Your life would be greatly enriched.
I know this ! Tis very true Nomie.
I might just add that he was a very nice young black man who's mum brought me round a box of chocolates this morning for looking after him.

I know this !It kinda hurts that you'd think it necessary to write that to me. I hope rather it was meant for the general public.

It unnecessarily and maybe sometimes even unfairly lumps disparate people into categories based on appearance. Culture is everything. That's what makes us what we are. Color is incidental to that.

Acc I didnt mean that in a hurtful way at all.
It was meant for the general public. For me for you for everyone. I was thinking globally.
Now Im hurt that you would think I would be snide with you on such a subject.
Actually I was thinking about a customer and somehow our conversation transitioned from yard insects to God. He was Hindu and he was sharing some personal and cultural insights with me, we talked for a half hr. I walked away feeling grateful for having made a connection with him. I also was thinking about the beautiful garb the Somali women wear around here and how Id love to speak with them but theyre very reserved so I dont.
God created men and women of different color. I enjoy that we all bring something different to the table. Im repeating myself now but I find true beauty our differences.

Clearly our differences on this are purely semantics. Let's try to allow each other the different definitions and agree on what's important.
:o And what's important here is that Oscar helped a guy and some paranoid somebody said being helpful is rife with dangers.
How'd it turn out, Oscar?

How'd it turn out, Oscar? I had my bloods taken this morning at the clinic. Got to wait a week for the results for hepititis etc but it's a month wait for HIV. When i met his mum when she brought the chocs round to my house, she seemed a very decent lady as was the young man so i'm not that worried now. It's just precautions the Doc insisted on taking.
If you don't hear from me in a month..... you know it went badly :wah:

Yet you support a Neo-Nazi racist political party that thinks that those who are born with a different colour skin have little or no rights. They see black and Asian people as second class citizens. Sure they wear ties and pat little old ladies on the head but if they had their way, that young lad would get the sort of medical treatmant not seen outside apartheid South Africa.
Do you not see the disparity in your comment and the obvious, vile racism the BNP and ultimately you, by your support, embrace ?

Whether you voted for them or not is immaterial. You considered it. You must support the racism of the BNP or you wouldnt consider them at all. Not in a heartbeat. You cant have the bits you like and pretend the racism wont exist cos it does. In dirty great big shovel fulls
" Who cares? His blood was the same colour as mine !!!! " is what you said. I cant get my head around you giving comfort to those moronic racists of the BNP and statements like that.
What is it you believe ? One or the other.
You cannot embrace them both !

How dare you ASSUME i support the racism od anything when you write ' Whether you voted for them or not is immaterial. You considered it. You must support the racism of the BNP or you wouldnt consider them at all. '
I was exactly the same as many people pissed off with the Labour government who researched other parties ready for the elections. Unless your some numbnutts who votes for a Party because their clothes look nice...... of course you have to research them. You have absolutely no idea why i made the decision not to go with them, your jusyt making inane guesses.
As with any Party, the BNP does have some good policies as does all the other Parties. Most of them nick each others policies anyway. You don't even know who i ended up voting for so don't guess what i embraced or rejected. Jesus Christ..... even my own husband doesn't know me that well !!!!!!

I can't believe what I'm reading on this thread! Oscar helped this young black man out & some of you peeps are calling her a racist because she mentioned his skin color? I'm almost positive that those who called her on the comment for mentioning his skin color would have done the same thing without even thinking about the reaction.

Looks like the mods removed the posts Odie posted telling me i was a black racist but they still come through on members e mails..... so everyone has seen them and messaged me. As i said in my reply to Odie..... If i was black racist, I'd have ignored him and left the bugger to bleed to death in the lane or got in the car and reversed over him :wah: I did offer for him to come into my home for a cup of tea while i patched him up but he was terrified of my dogs....... bless. Good. That got you animated. I stand by what I posted. How can you ever embrace the BNP knowing what they stand for. Knowing that they treat people differently according to the colour of their skin. You were gleeful in announcing you may vote for them, even stand for them, so I was completely right to assume you support their vile policies. I wouldnt consider that an inane guess at all. I was based on previous statements made by you over your gushing support for Nick Griffin, one of the most odious men in British politics.
Since you didnt answer it, I'll ask the question again. Do you not see the disparity of your albeit welcome statement "Who cares ? his blood is the same colour as mine !!! " and even a smidgin of support for those brainless imbeciles in the BNP
If your ever asked to a rally or invited to "An audience with Nick Griffin" try presenting that arguement to them. It'll go down a storm
