A *very* quick'n'dirty, literally "back of an envelope" graph shows FG's posting rate to be pretty flat, from the earliest figures I can easily find (Q3/2005) until now - meaning that the number of posts per unit time is about constant. Is this interesting, from a "community" perspective? What, if true, does it mean?

It means that conversational flow is influenced by everything from current events to the weather outside.

People come and people go on a regular basis.

The garden is never as it once was and yet is constant.

I tend to blame most of this on nomad..
I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

Folks who'd like to copy my intellectual work should expect to pay me for it.:-6

Well, it could mean the if Mars & Jupiter are in juxtipostion and create variable gravity attraction by other celestial bodies we could be in big, big trouble, not to mention that eating too much chocolate can cause weight gain.

Makes me laugh when people say, FG is quiet, FG is boring but you pull your tripe out to try and make them laugh or find amusing/interesting and you either have to check with snopes. prove links and proof of ownership only to get zero replies lol

Thank you so far for your entertaining comments. My question was simple, not aimed at causing problems, although I must admit that it was inspired by the "Big Brother moderation" issue.

Has anyone examined the postings stats. more closely, armed with more than a pencil, brane, and bit of scrap paper? I bet TS's mob have, and I should be interested to hear the philosophical conclusions.

It seems to be that, since the posting rate is (approximately) constant, that.....

I don't really pay attention to any "posting rate" to be honest with you. It's quality, not quantity, that should be acknowledged. (yeah right)

Omg Bill..you think the mods sit and work out stats??? Maybe they used too, I dont know but were all about whos turn it is to bring the hobnobs lol...

Seriously I dont even know if TS looks into that stuff either, hes a busy man lol...

Every forum has highs and lows, the highs here always seem to occur in a negative element such as old/new members with contraversial opinions clashing with others ect....People love to visit the more heated debates till someone's feelings get hurt, that's when we get involved but only because the members report one another...We are not big brother like at all and to be honest im sick of reading how were so bad...Id love for you to see how many reported posts the members send to the mod forum on one another........EYE opener for sure!!!!!
