Only two? In the last two days I've received spam about Viagara and clones, other "medication", fake watches, pron, fake child pron, child pron, 419/Nigerian scams, lottery scams, "work from home" scams, offers of e-mail address lists, and phishing e-mails. Currently popular is the ever-present pron, watches, scams, phishing. Out of fashion are pills to increase the size of my knob, and mortgage offers. Here are some "subject:" lines:
Gasp.. Koan.. you naughty I would never ever believe that... besides don't you want to read how you can get free samples of little purple pills, become a more well endowed person or get rich really really quick, without working..!!!!!!! hoo yeah. Unfortunately until some sort of regulation is enacted it appears that spammers are a way of life here in cyberland. As they say in MP.. spam spam spam spam....

if you want a spam blocker that looks at them on the mail server before you download them on to your computer. Just don't open them it's not just the content you need to worry about but viruses as well. It's a free download if only for one account.
I have a theory of spam and adware based upon 4 years of experience working in the computing industry...
At some point (not too far in the future) the proliferation of "spam" on the internet will outstrip the presence of valid, educational information. Further, adware and malicious programs are growing exponentially. Without some kind of major global action, I feel that the internet will collapse within five years. We have already reached a flashpoint. Consider: An unprotected Windows PC placed on the 'net can be hijacked and used for malicious purposes in as little as 4 minutes.
Where I work, a disproportionate amount of resources are spent in maintaining the security of the network, and this amount grows every year. So, to summarize, something needs to be done, and it needs to be done NOW.
I noticed a lot of the spam has alphabetical cc lists of other clients on my servers. The entire list is comprised of addresses within that server. How do they get all the names? There should be a program that harasses all the spam senders. It could send, say 100 back to back messages that explain how evil spam is. See if they continue to do business with everybody return mailing them 100 times.

Your address may have been inadvertently given out by someone replying to a list, or who has deliberately giving out your address, or your e-mail administrator has been a bit slack, or he's sold the company e-mail list.
