The Scottish are looking forward to global warming so they can sit on the mountains and watch the English drown.

I think global warming is a natural occurance. I don't believe anything we do now will make a difference. We can cut down on all sorts of emissions but we can't stop volcanos from erupting, or wildfires or any number of natural events from happening.

We are making a difference. Geologically speaking we should actually be heading towards the next Ice Age. (We are currently nearing the end of an Interglacial - a warm period between two Ice Ages). I have a chart somewhere which shows greenhouse gases on a level up to about the 1950's when the level starts increasing rapidly. I'd need to dig through my old uni stuff to find it (yeah, like that's gonna happen! :yh_rotfl )

There'll still be some Englishmen left! If all the ice in all the world melts, the Pennine Way is supposedly the only piece of England which will remain above water.

Sit there and be saved! :wah:

That's if the drought doesn't get them all first.
