Are any of our members married to ex-armed forces peeps?

I know of no other reason why my husband has to be so orderly other than his time in the forces.

I can cope with having my cd's in alphabetical order and his clothes in seperate colour departments in the closets but i've just seen it all now.

Due to a mix up over weather we had enough chicken for the foxes for the weekend, we both bought some twice over three days. I've just gone to the fridge and found he's taken a board marker pen and labelled them 'Tonight, saturday, sunday and monday. He's even added '1,2,3, and four on them.

Right, i'm going to throw all his clothes on the floor in a big heap now, mix up all the cd's and dvd's and mix all the co-ordinated crockery up.

:wah: No, I'm not that bad. But I do like my closet, linen closet and fridge organized. I know that I must have OCD:-3

I am a former soldier. I fold my clothes, make my bed and clean up after my self. I have sharp creases in my trousers and nothing less than a half windsor tie knot will do (when I wear them of course. My everyday attire now is jeans and T shirt. I'd look daft wearing a suit, doing what I do )

I get ribbed at work when I fold my work clothes.

One concession I did make when leaving the forces. I dont shave every day after being made to do so whether I needed to or not. It was great to have a bit of stubble

Don't trash his stuff - send him here. I have LOADS of tidying up for him to do!

I took a year 3 class (7/8 year olds) out to do PE yesterday. When the kids get changed they pull PE kit out from their PE bags where it was stuffed after the last PE lesson. Then they stuff their clothes back into their PE bags until after the lesson when they reverse the ritual. No wonder their clothes and kit are always rumpled. :wah:

Yesterday I noticed one little boy getting changed. He lives with his dad (he sees his mum every other weekend). I guess dad was once in the forces because this child quickly, neatly and perfectly, folded his clothes and slotted them neatly back into his PE bag. Obviously dad is a perfectionist and has trained his son the same way! It was a trifle bizarre (for a 7 year old) yet I was also very impressed! I wish I could teach my kids to be that neat! :wah:

Nah, I drive my husband batty by living a bourgeoisie style of house happen around him. He should be happy with all this randomness........

I constantly remind him of how boring his life would be if i was organised and predictable.

He so embaressed me one time. We were discussing the mess that i allegedly leave around the house that i fiercly deny and he took a photo of my chair and side table and put it on facebook.

awwwwwwwwwww he really care about your fox's!:-4 We did actually squabble about the amount of chicken i was giving them recently until he came out to feed them with me that night and was just blown away by two tiny cubs with their mum. He's gone all soft on them again now :wah:

I wish I could teach my kids to be that neat! :wah: I do think it's brilliant that parents teach their kids that kind of care for their belongings. I see so many kids treat thier mothers like personal maids. I don't even mind the food in the cupboards and freezer being sell by date organised but life is too short. What the hell does a fox care if his chicken is three days old? They are dam lucky to get freash chicken in the first place. What are they going to do? bring it back because it's past it's sell by date? :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

But you have grown to accept each others ways. :-4

I know a young couple just now who have split up over the problems of him coming out the army and them not being able to adjust to each others ways (she's 4 months pregnant) I hope they can work it out. Both are so set that they are in the right and cant see each others point of view, it's so very sad, lovely young people.

Yes...... he accepts that i'm a lazy slob and i accept that he will always clean up after me :yh_rotfl

Im not ex military but Im organized squeaky clean and I run a tight ship here. Im a nutjob and I know it but my wife is whacko too.
