Loud goodbyes

Post by Victoria »

No not mine !

Nieghbours who have guests.. its not a specific nieghbour Im talking about a trend...

It goes ike this; the guests leave (the later the better shows the person is a good host)

The host then see's them out and while they are getting into thier cars the host then has a loud shouted conversations with them eg; bye ...yeah bye...call you next week.. do that we'll have lunch/drinks...ok say hi to whats his face for me...yeah ok byyyyeeee.

Then they drive off and you think its all over but then the guests have to toot toot before leaving the street ..Why???

Is it so that all of us who are now awake know they have cars or maybe we might be at the window by now so we can see just what a nice car it is that they have..:driving:

I just dont get it does nobody work ? We get up at 5.45am so being woken up like this at 2 or 3am means we are shattered next day. Im not moaning about weekends this is during the week they are doing it. Why is being so antisocial so bloody trendy? :-5:-5

Because they are totally selfish, thoughtless and couldn't care less about their actions possibly upsetting other people ! They also get remarkably deaf when they have had a few drinks ! :-5 :rolleyes:

Yep. I live in an apartment building populated mostly be older or retired people. I'm fortunate in that I only have a neighbor on one side. Recently I got a new neighbor and he's not too popular here already. After his late-night parties his guests will leave but stand by the elevators in the hallway yelling back to him awhile. It took a bunch of complaints to the manager to quiet things down.

Of course he screamed "racism" because he's only the second black living here. "Everybody is pickin on me". That sort of thing.

I feel a rant coming on. Time to shut up now Hop.:lips:

My god, i have been here many times.

I live down a very quiet lane with no vechicle access except for residents. During the week and daytime, we get an enormous amount of noise from 150 kids to and fro-ing to the primary school at the end of the lane which they use as a short cut. We have never complained as for one, it's to be expected and two, you get used to it.

I just feel that given the huge amount of noise we do put up with all week from the kids and parents slamming car doors when they collect them and drop them off, that we can expect some peace and quiet after midnight.

I often have peeps round my house late but we say our goodbyes inside the house and they leave quietly. I was brought up that this noise that you describe Victoria is un-acceptable to other peeps so why do they do it? Because they are bloody selfish or they actually have sad lives and want the neighbourhood to know that they have a visitor and some friends.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. R.L. Binyon
