Don't know if this has been put up before so..........If you have a mobile phone and do NOT wish it to be listed on a public directory act soon,in fact before the end of the week...........

The service is currently not working so I guess that they have been overloaded with people trying to get off the list. Maybe they should have asked first, and why do I have to pay to get off their list anyway........

It isn't a contract. This company has bought 14 million mobile numbers off other company data bases and put them into a huge data base that they will let anyone use to get hold of you if they have your name but not your mobile number.

What a pain in the arsse? I ended up on the Telephone Preference Service due to the amount of sales and marketing calls i was getting. Your mobile was the one phone that when it rang, you knew it was some-one you knew, ringing you. Now it can be anyone. :-5

They already have your name......and your number. What they want is to sell that number to other people as well. The only way to get out is to send them a text message opting out, which you will pay for at your normal rates and they will make money out of that as well.

How can they know who has and uses the 'phone?

My 'phone is a PAYG that I bought off of a work colleague - will his name go on the listing?

My wife signed the contract for my grandaughter's 'phone - will her name go on the listing?

How can this work?
