Just to let you all know....... Lidle is selling giant sized bamboo plants, size 4 feet, as from next thursday 30th July for only £19.99.

There is a choice of three bamboo, 'Metake', 'Aurea' and 'Bisetti'.

I went to two garden centre's recently and mature bamboo's this size were in the region of £60.

I have bought many plants from Lidle before, just recently some palms and peace lillies and they are of the most fab quality. I thoroughly recommend them for plants. However, when ever they have fantastic offers on like this, they go very quickly so i'd also recommend getting there for opening time on the thursday.

Also on offer are Potted Asiatic Lilies at £2.99 or two for £5

Large Chrysanthemum for £1.19 or two for £2

Summer Phlox for £3.79 each.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. R.L. Binyon

I went to Lidle today and got three of these Bamboo plants. Again, amazing quality but unlike the hieght advertisied in the leaflet. They were actually 6ft high or a little more. Thank God for estate cars and even then there was all sorts of malarky getting the three in. I had to drive home with the rear door wide open where they were so long. :wah:
