Odie;1218296 wrote: don't forget to feed newbie!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl I went out to the foxes after my last post and she was there. I haven't been out to them for some nights not being too well and missed seeing them. She got some food and seems to be accepted more. She didn't get chased off or hissed at when she moved in for the food and the last i saw of her was her running across the field with a chicken leg in her mouth:wah:

It's 07 am here and absolutely raining cats and dogs. The sound of the rain so hard on the windows actually woke me up. I just opened the door to let Mulder out for a wee. He took one look and thought 'bugger that'. :wah:

hope you went back to bed!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

I woke up at 7am and stayed up, gonna regret that later!

Jack kept on rubbing his cold wet nose on my nose and putting his paw on my face!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

Wonderful, Newbie has finally been accepted, now I don't have to worry anymore about her!

going to be a very hot week here with high humidity.......hate that, means windows are closed and /ac is on!

I should expect this, as its mid-July, but have been spoiled this summer with low temps.

Yes, i did go back to bed :wah: Had a lot more rain today. My dogs just refuse point blank to go out for a wee in it. I open the door, they poke their heads out and double back quick. I have no choice but to put a kindly shove up the butt to force them out. Then they come back in smelling of old damp cardigans. Scully refuses to put her woo woo down in the wet and squat for a wee until she is desperate and has spent ages trying to find some dry gravel.

I am also very pleased about newbie. It just goes to show what sociable critters foxes are. I had a delivery from the deli yesterday as well. Boy, did those foxes eat well last night :wah:

wow, so much rain over there!

I don't blame the dogs for not wanting to go out, then that dog smell when they're wet!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

You gave the fox's take-out?

geez and I had a sandwich!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

geez and I had a sandwich!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl :yh_rotfl No not a take-out. We have a friend who is a manager for a chain of High Street deli's. They can't sell the meat after the three day sell by period so as soon as it gets to the 11th hour, he puts it in the freezer and delivers it to us. It's fine for animals but a criminal waste of meat. The foxes have got BBQ'd ribs with their chicken tonight. :wah:

yep, a heck of a lot of rain. Pete got the forecast for our area up on the net and we have got another week of it. :-5

:yh_rotfl:yh_rotflbbq chicken and ribs...they eat better than us! It is very good of him and i buy him beer in return. It would only go in the bin anyway and it's prime beef, chicken, ham, bacon etc. I do have to wash the spicey sauce off the spicey meatballs though:wah: Under the kebab roast in the take-away there is a box the Turkish staff call 'julie's fox box.' All the odd bits of kebab meat and chicken etc goes in there and they pop that round also.

Yes, more damn rain. This is going to put our planned fishing trip off for a week. Pete is hell bent on catching a record Barbel and has baited up some swims. He went on his fishing forum today and there were guys posting their catches that they had caught today in torrential rain. I can't go when it's like that. I like to sun bathe and chill not hide in the tent in the pouring rain.

It's 03.30 am here in Blighty. My sleep pattern is all wrong after sleeping during the day this week when i felt ill.

I just got some new beautiful pics of my nephews baby who is now 12 weeks old. i will upload them in the morning. His girlfriend and him have split which is not surprising seeing as he's looking at life imprisonment. I will still always be there for her and help her as she has so little for herself. In a way, i'm actually pleased they split. I hope she meets some-one new that she can have a normal life with.

When I was a manager for McDonald years ago, the amount of food that was wasted was just unbelievable.:-5:-5

Oh that's a shame no fishing trip, it would make me angry to, have fished for years. I would never go in that much rain, just not the same.

quite often my sleep is also disturbed and I come on here and it seems to relax me and get me back to sleep.....guess it takes whatever was on my mind...off.

I kinda figured she would split up with him, what's the point now, she needs to move on and upwards with herself and her baby, and start a new life.

I must be going through yet another separation emotion.....I am painting and doing things I would never normally even think of ........and it feels good!

I must be going through yet another separation emotion.....I am painting and doing things I would never normally even think of ........and it feels good! Yes, it's criminal. The meat from the Deli would only go in the bin anyway and foxes would get it, so he might as well give it to me. He's not actually allowed to do it but it's just such a waste.

Pete was thrilled last night to get an e mail from one of this countries match winning anglers. He's all over the web and very famous in the fishing world. He has his kit packed ready for when the rain eases off.

Glad you are keeping busy. Any split is so sad but after all the years you have been together, it must be very difficult. Is there any hope of a reconciliation? Don't do too much and wear yourself out will you?

Yes, they have split. My nephew was being a selfish little sod when an ex girlfriend decided she wanted to visit him in prison. Kay warned him time and time again to refuse her visits or else but he wanted the best of both worlds. I'm so proud of her in that she stuck to her word and dumped him. She is still taking baby to see him on the monthly Dad's and baby's days and sending pics of baby but that's it. She's only 17 years old and she has to get on with her life. My sis and i have fallen out big time over all of this. When they split, she didn't dis-own the girlfriend and baby but she did nothing for them. God, she can be so damn selfish :-5 The girlfriend got a small flat very recently but she had nothing..... no furnature, no tv.... nothing. My sis didn't like it because we were spending money on her. How immature?? Anyway, it's her loss. She's missing out on seeing the baby grow up and it will hit her one day.

Two new pics of the baby. I wish she didn't live so far away as i could do alot more for her.

oh my the baby is so adorable!

hoping your damn rains stops so Pete can go fishing, he sure seems excited!

I go through different stages when separated, everyone doesn't last, then I am on a high or a downer, my feelings are in a constant wirlwind. No, there is no hope of getting back together, to much has been done and said. When he came over last Friday to drop something off.......I had no feelings whatsoever this time.........its just been to long now.....I do think about him constantly though.....but its lessening and not so vivid.

Your sister will realize someday what she is missing....but yes, at 17, she doesn't need any more hassles of him and visits to prison.

A horrible night Odie. I went to the take-away to sit with my friend after last night. Pete ended up having to do some deliveries to help him as his friend was in fear of leaving the shop and her and the staff alone in it. I saw his injuries to his face and the other guy. The police have been very good to them. It was shocking racial abuse but in the end we just had to laugh about it because my friend was telling me what this person was screaming at her and one of the things was 'You effing P**I..... Well, i never knew that Turkey was part of Pakistan :wah: Just goes to show how un-intelligent some of these teenagers are.

Anyway, Pete's mate is quite laid back about it and said 'Shyte happens' but his wife was so upset. Anyway, we had lots of lovely Turkish tea amd food, good laughs, meat for the dogs and foxes, and decided we would go back to that lovely resturant they took us to by the River a few weeks ago. Pete's mate has also bought me tobbacco, papers etc and told me i must roll my own from now on because he's worried about the amount i smoke...... Yeah right !!! That won't last.

Pete did a delivery for him tonight and when he got to the house, a German Shepherd had 6, five day old puppies. Bless !! You would have loved them. :-4

It's very hard to explain to people but because it is a family business and there is always family in and out often with babies and children, it's almost like their home because of the hours they have to work in it. So my friend feels that these teenagers have broken into her family home, if you know what i mean? Luckily none of the family kids were in there last night. :(

don't forget to bring me some food home.:sneaky::yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl If you can call it work Joan....... drinking tea, eating food, reading the newspapers and occassionally calling the police when needed. If they get really busy, i may stretch myself to answer the phone for them :wah: They just like having me and Mr o there to speak English on the busiest nights of the week. We have great fun as well. We do it for them and they do loads for us. It's a good friendship and they live only a few yards from us as well. Have been our neighbours for 10 yrs. Infact if i lean out the window i can see if her back windows are open or not.

I've had two visits today. One from Mr O's computer wizard pal......... interesting. Also a visitor who wanted to show me some corrospondence that may be of great interest to me and yes, it was. Infact it came as quite a shock. Then i chatted to a Tory for an hour on the phone. Now we have to go out soon and it's pouring with rain :(

Mr O was going away early tomorrow morning but has cancelled. He just fancies staying around me. I am desperate to get down to my bro's but just can't get away with so much going on. Still, he's ok so to speak. I'm also supposed to be going to see the nephews baby and EX girlfriend but again, just can't get away. In a way it's good. I can't take baby and kids out with pouring rain like this. Hopefully it will pick up next week and we'll have some sun to get the kids out some-where. Pouring with rain here but humid like you. :(

I have to be honest, my floors are absolutely filthy. It's rained so hard all day that the garden is a quagmire of mud. I can't keep the dogs in and they have gone in and out getting filthy and bringing it all back in the house. The mud is just unbelievable and i have to go out in that in half an hour in the dark to the foxes. If i mop the floors, they want to go out again :-5 it's still raining here, what about you?

I won't be around tomorrow much Joan. Another busy day. It's lads and baby day at the prison so we are going to get nephews baby to take to see him. Can't wait to have baby again for some time. Will get some new pics of him. He's 14 weeks now and just grows so quick. He is also now the absolute image of his dad. I hope he's sick all over his dad when he see's him :sneaky:

It's the one visit he's allowed without a chaperone so i won't have to sit and talk to the little sod. Just take baby and collect afterwards. I'm astonished at the amount of 16 year olds in that prison who have got babies. Still, it's vital that baby see's his dad although it's in extreme circumstances. Yes, i'll spit on him for you :wah:

Its good you don't have to see him with everything you have told me.

I'm shocked that she still wants to see him......hoping she doesn't plan these visits when the baby is a child.
