Toddlers and Tiaras
Little girls (4,5,6yrs old) are being pushed/pressured by their Mother's (usually) to compete in Toddler beauty contests!
IMHO, it seems rather cruel, & nerve racking for the Toddler! As some of the Mother's make their daughters wear false teeth, to give them a million dollar smile, tease their long hair a mile high, of course wear tons of makeup, wear/change into many different costumes & shoes. While daily making thier daughter's practice dance & walking routines, talking, smiling, & posing for the audiance & camera's! These little princesses seems to be loosing out on their childhood!
YOUR COMMENTS, FEELINGS?

You are absolutely right in this cars. When my youngest was between the ages of 1 and 6 I had babysitters, daycare people, and even teachers wanting to enter my daughter in all kinds of contests. I always told them no, my daughter was going to have a normal childhood. I feel sorry for the little ones that get paraded around.

I was too ugly at that age. Infact i was so ugly that my mum tied a pork rib round my neck just so the dog would play with me.

All of us have only one childhood. When we reach young adulthood, it's gone. Toddlers have no business being little adults. The parents are in this situation for themselves only....not for the child. IMO

I detest mothers that do this to their children just for a prize.
They have no idea what the child goes through....its all for the mother.
a few years ago JonBert Ramsey was murdered in her basement.....she was a child queen.
no one should ever display their children like that!:-5:-5:-5

I get creeped out when I see the commercials for this show just not normal in my view.

JonBenet Ramsey Investigation (Part 2)
2004 -well I'll be damned....no one in their family murdered her:
and yet another case:
The 'Amy' Case: Nine months after JonBenet was killed, an intruder broke into the home of another Boulder couple and sexually assaulted their eight-year-old daughter in her bedroom. The intruder was scared away when Amy's mother woke up. Struck by the similarities with JonBenet's case, Amy's parents reported the attack to the JonBenet investigators, but at the time, they "were completely uninterested in it," Amy's father told CBS.
I don't believe the investigators were not interested.:-5:-5

I would never make my child a public spectacle or force her to do anything against her will except for what is necessary for her health and well-being. When she's old enough to make choices, she can choose to do so for herself and then I would gladly help her.

I find the whole thing rather creepy. Abusive, even.
Hmm. Where are child actors/actresses in this? Are they enough older that it's not the same?

The crowd: "Yes! We are all individuals!"
Lone voice: "I'm not."

I don't agree with the whole competition thing but (most) little girls do want to dress up, wear make up and a tiara and play at being a princess, bless em :-4

Her poor mother died of cancer after years of being accussed of playing a part in her death still under suspicion. I hope one day they get who did it.
