If they are capable of this and more......... should they be classed as 'children'?

Yes, it's well documented that children and those of the ages to 22 have different mind and cognitive interpretation and reasoning skills . That's why it's so easy to recruit young people to sign up to the armed forces during War time. Seriously, it's true. After the age of 25 humans reason differently and tend to ask more questions of themselves and the world about them. That's why it's important to have seperate rights and courts for younger persons.

Not really a two year old can indulge in the most disgusting of behaviour. Take a 'tantrum' for instance, funny in some respects but if another two year old is standing by or a younger baby, a younger child can inflict the most terrible of injuries.

That's what I thought when I first read it. but reading further it seems that even babies can pick up on minute cultural differences. And it can have a profound effect on them. This genre of study is only new .
