Poll for US and Commonwealth members.......... Do you trust your police?

I have split the poll into two to see what the difference around the world is compared to Britain.

Some I trust; some I don't trust. It's the same with any profession whether they are a cop, lawyer, doctor, hairdresser, etc.

some can be trusted........other cannot...

.....some do an outstanding job.....others are worse than criminals.

just because they wear a badge and have taken an oath, doesn't mean they all can be trusted.

Police are human like the rest of us, and therefore fallible.. I've had many dealings with police here in all sorts of circumstances. They have almost always been helpful and friendly, even kind. Bottom line, I've always felt we were on the same side.

Your police have an admirable reputation in Britain along with the US cops.

The poll results here are very different to the British poll.

I voted 'not sure' because I tend to trust individual police officers rather than the force as a whole. I do trust the police union though. They do tend to keep the government at bay and out of their business.
