Whew! That was some storm wasn't it?. And when the newspeeps said batten down the hatches, we did. Although my plants got a great watering:wah:. That was a slow moving storm KE, took about an hour before it stopped here...we got hit around 3:30pm...and the wind in that storm...wow! I have tree leaves in my tomato plants:-5

That storm sounds frightening. So glad you're all okay!!

It's beautifully warm and sunny here - hard to believe that just two days ago I was standing on a hill in a blizzard, fighting frostbite. Grin.

My son has left Cambodia and is now back in Saigon. He flies back to Hong Kong today and from there to Sydney on Thursday. Yeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.. I'm sorting him out a bit of floor - can't wait to see him.

Hi all ! Great news for you Pam ! Hi Kathy, hope all is OK with you ! We're having a very windy, showery day today and I'm fed up with all the rain we've been having these last few weeks ! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Hope it eases off soon as we're going on holiday this coming weekend, for a month !!! Can't wait to enjoy the peace and quiet of our static caravan, and really chill out ! I'll miss all my friends on FG though, but I will try to get to a library and get on a PC for a short while. But it will be good to get away from all the RL stress for a few weeks ! :-6 :D

Morning Odie,:-6

Yes, I've been to the big box store and bought some new door nobs and plates for my inside doors. I've replaced them.

Can't do too much experimenting as the workmen have been here for days and days fixing up stuff.

Hello Odie and Sunshine:-4

Thanks for stopping by:p

They are going to put in a new, huge window, medicine cabinet, and double stainless steel kitchen sink during the next 2 weeks.

I had them doing off jobs for me that were a bit time consuming....things like powerwashing, shaping and drilling in my railroad ties that separate my driveway from my neighbors, powerwashing and painting my front stoop, putting in a little, wooden picket fence that separates my yard from the yard behind me, hanging pictures and mirrors, putting together stand-up fans ( which one broke already:confused:....junk), Putting in outlets in my new utility room, nailing slats back in my bigger fence, bracing my tree and hanging some plaques of mermaids on my shed...lots of tedious work.;)

I would love to see the pics when they have finished.

Unfortunately, I can't build a proper fence right now Odie. I just bought a little 2 ft. picket fence...like one you'd put up around a garden...just to warn the renters not to come into my yard....not sure if it will work:(

I'll put up pics soon....there's too many people milling around today...beach is absolutely packet.

Here's my little shed that I painted and the tree that was braced, and the small fence....it's 35 ft. long. The railroad ties are used to protect my car from the renters dinging it when they open their car door. I was not allowed to put a fence up...not enough room.
