Six officers could face prosecution over a series of allegations linked to two raids at homes in Tottenham and Enfield, north London.

Some of the officers were accused of holding a man's head inside a toilet and repeatedly flushing it, something he described as "waterboarding".

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said it has completed an inquiry into the actions of the Enfield crime squad officers.

A spokeswoman said: "A file has now been passed to the Crown Prosecution Service for a decision about whether any of the officers should be charged."
