Fires in B.C.

My thoughts go out to everybody retreating from, fighting or staying and protecting their homes due to the mass forest fires raging through British Columbia.

Currently 35 fires burning

Wildfires of Note

The map shows them all, one of the areas is Whistler BC where the winter olympics are to be held.

I see this Minks on our news each night and pray everyone will be safe.

so many have had to evacuate their homes etc.

and I pray for our heroes, our firemen.

woah that's a biggin. Pines too. That's not good. don't breathe too deeply We're going to see more and more of these fires around the world . The Canary Islands are on fire too.

*sigh* the proverbial is really hitting the fan now.

Terrible indeed. I have family scattered all through out British Columbia so far all are safe.

Oh yes all "forest" fires, truly devestating sadly some of the areas hit were hit hard just 2 years ago.

That's not good that it's come back so soon.

My plan this summer is getting the kids out of here for the majority of the summer as much as I can . I'm not taking chances this time. last season there were hours not knowing where they were or whether they were safe.

I'm sending them off to their dads or my mums in the city.

That's a lot of fires, I have relatives out there too, hope everyone stays safe and those fires are out soon.

Oh Mel, such bad news. These huge fires are such a worry and cause such dreadful devastation. And they do seem to be getting worse each year. I hope everyone stays safe and the fires are put out quickly. Do they think they were started carelessly again? Why don't people ever learn? :-5
