Harry Patch's funeral.

The last British veteran of WW1 had his funeral today. Thank Heavens none of us have had to go through what he did! (And I mean no disrespect to any veterans out there. Just one word: Passchendaele.)

Saw a programme about the surviving veterans a while back. Apparently he never left Britain again after he got back until a couple of years ago when he toured the old battlefields and met a German WW1 veteran. It was good to see them smiling at eachother. Rest in peace, Mr Patch.
The crowd: "Yes! We are all individuals!"

Lone voice: "I'm not."
