A Doco Recommendaion

Post by Lon »

I just finished watching a 1 hour 45 min. do co on DVD and found out that the whole thing is available on You Tube. It's called "The Union" The Business Behind Getting High. It's about Cannabis. I would like to read some opinions from those that care to watch the film in it's entirety. It's not worth discussing if you don't see the film.

So no one has ever died from a car accident from driving under the influence of drugs? I had a friend who was a constant smoker who shot himself because the paranoia got too much for him.

I also have a sister who uses it to calm her muscles during an MS attack.

there is also a substance that is nine times more potent than the usual cannibus and it drives people nuts.

And to be honest I've never met a regular smoker that is switched on all the time.

And it states in that lead that the author thinks that the government doesn't want you to smoke it because you might think or question them...............Honestly people really need weed to think ?

Watching it now. I don't see the value in full prohibition, not when there are so many uses for the plant.

Bias ala Michael Moore, but still interesting. It might change someone's mind if they were on the fence.

CNBC did a documentary as well. You might enjoy it.

One thing that I found most interesting is the allegation that Pharmas have a huge financial stake in keeping marijuana illegal. You can't really patent pot since it's not a compound.

Im not so sure about that although I could be wrong. Im wrong way way more than Im right.

Everything is a compound. Those plants can be genetically altered then patented. I know in California they have oodles of variety. All a pharmaceutical co. would have to do is put their brand on the science they put into it.
