Yes, but I am a cheap skate this summer. Window a/c, not central air on this summer. So upstairs bedrooms are 100+ I think, I don't do my exercises in them, but the kids sleep in them. I told them to sleep out in the living room, we would camp out for a few nights.

I think I need to have the system fixed, but am afraid of the cost. The heat will pass, it is winter I worry about. I cannot have $550+ /month bills again, I don't know what I am going to do. I signed up for extra work after school this year, to pay for electric bills. :-1

Yesterday, I really was hot, which is unusual for me. I think borderline heat stroke stuff, I behaved last night when it was really hot. I will have to rethink it, and ask tomorrow the guys at church if they know someone who can come out and look at it. I tried the new thermostat, that wasn't the problem.

I don't blame you, as I have to cut down on the a/c this summer also, have hardly had it on.....and learn to live with fans.

but here, even is you have central air, it never reaches the upstairs.....I am thankful I am in a bungalow.

Great idea asking others if they know someone, I know its only a few days a year, but I found yesterday and today....unbearable.

wow, that's an expensive electricity bill!

are you on gas or electric heating?

All electric, that is expensive. I had gas heating in the West, so much better and cheaper.

I said no space heaters this winter, but that probably won't last. (probably me first) I can only layer so much, than not move. We shall see what happens.

that's why your bill is so high when its electric.

my x mother-in-law has electrric.....in the winter, the only rad she has on is the living room.....omg...the entire house is freezing.......

she's used to it all budlled up, we went bundled up and still froze.....she uses her electric blanket at night......her bill was just way to high.

don't you have rads in the rooms?

First time I've seen the sun in a while. Should really head to the beach, it maybe our only window of opportunity :wah:

No, I have to go to the dentist instead, should have made the appointment for a rainy day it seems.

Raging toothache all weekend, so treatment that will combine a check up as I am on a huge waiting list for an NHS dentist. This one's private so no doubt will have a huge bill. Not sure whether it's the thought of sitting in the chair or the cost that's making me feel so sick now, I'll be in the chair within the hour :-1 (God, I'm such a wimp, although these private dentists are so much better with you if you're scared witless)

Gorgeous sunny evening, firework display on Plymouth Hoe later. Could have sat on the decking and watched it from there if i hadn't forgot it was on and went and sprayed the entire decking with a protecting wax about two hours ago.:wah:

Could watch from the window, mustn't open it though, bloody smell is horrendous.

Rained last night, sunny with puffy cumulus clouds today - might shower at any time, still quite humid, gentle breeze. Very pleasant on the whole. Forecast poor.

Haven't had a thunderstorm for a week or so - could do with a few more to clear the air (though not on the truly spectacular scale you folk across the Pond seem to be getting!).
