I never got to the zoo today :-5 I blew my house up this morning. Water had got into the electrics of the kettle and blew all the lights and the fridge-freezer for some reason. All fixed now and got a new kettle.

Over the past few months, there has been a new kitten on the block that thries stealing food from the foxes when I feed them. I guess she's about 4 months old now and she's out all night and is always waiting now with the foxes for her food. She's Jet black so hard to see her in the dark but last night she appeared to be absolutely starving. I had some cat food that mine had left and she dived on that as if it was her last meal. For the first time, I managed to get her to come to me and as I stroked her, she was just skin and bone with her collar bones jutting out. :-5 I don't know where she comes from....... poor little thing.

We are going to see some German Shepherd puppies tonight. :-4

Years ago I had a large house in the Sussex Downs and was able to take large numbers from the RSPCA. The most I had at one time was 14. We never went to bed while one was still out and never left the house until they were all in. That's what we still do although I have had to scrabble through the bushes in my best clothes to get Oscar in before I leave many a time. :wah:

omg........I am so sorry to hear this!

You blew a fuse is what it was.

you should take the kitty in, if you can pat her, grab her.

I would have taken in my skinny stray 3 years ago if I could have gotten close.

when a stray finds food, it will gobble it faster than you can dish out more, as they have no idea where their next meal will come from.

The electrician found water in the electrics of the kettle. He went straight to that as it was the last thing we used before they all blew. The pc's and tv were fine because they were on a different circuit. We have a box thingy (I don't understand these things) that you can trip when they blow but it wouldn't this morning.

Your right about the strays gobbling the food quick. I don't think she is a stray just very under-fed.:-5 I've always got pleanty of pet food in the house so It's no big deal to feed her out there with the foxes. :-4

I had a lie in this morning as when I went out to the foxes there was a neighbour sitting in the field crying in the dark. her sister had just had a stillborn baby so we sat and talked for 2 hours. The foxes wouldn't come near because she had her dog with her although he's blind.

Things are really taking off here and I am about to be very busy with a new venture in my life that I've been offered.

Tomorrow, I am going Barbel fishing all day with Pete although I can't fish as I don't have a licence for that stretch of water.

How are you?

I am standing for election in the General election next year. To cut a long story short, I have to build a portfolio of good deeds such as visiting hospitals etc. I got some sponsers behind me so it's going to be a lot of hard work for a year. I have so much to learn about British politics so i need to study a great deal before next year.

Yes, she was very distraught. It was quite bizzare sitting in the dark at 3 in the morning chatting.

I'm taking the camping gear tomorrow so I can cook a meal on the bank and I'll take the tent incase I need a nana nap:wah:

I bought some cocoa palms to go with the bamboo on the patio and went to get some nice large pots for them today. I thought I may have to go to the hospital as when I picked one up, a leaf poked me in the eye and cut my eyelid and scratched my eyeball. the leaves were like daggers and my eye hasn't stopped watering all day. So painful.... still, that'll teach me to be more careful:yh_rotfl

Have you not checked FB yet? :yh_rotfl

Pete is hooking up with his expert and he left very early this morning and is staying all day and night. we decided that it would be unfair to leave the dogs that long so I opted out. I'm quite relieved to be honest as I have a day off and the house to myself :wah:

I got my pack leader fox on camera last night although it has to be the worst pic I've taken in my life. I just had to point the camera in the dark and hope for the best. :wah:

How are you today? :-4

Yes, I wanted to go but I can't leave the dogs that long. I'm going thursday when he goes to a closer lake to us for Carp. I can nip home here and there then to see to the dogs.

I've been really lazy today lying on the patio. I'm so thrilled to have Nomad on facebook now.

It's great............ I can make a mess without being nagged :yh_rotfl

That Jimbo is soooooooooooooooo is big trouble now :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl
