I started the Christmas shopping today.....

Post by Oscar Namechange »

I do love to give gifts that really mean a lot to the person I give to instead of that late bag of charcoal from the 24 hr garage at midnight on Christmas Eve.

It gives me time to plan my gifts and do some last minute swaps if needed.

I won't start until November this year. I have a huge family and so many children to buy for. I also buy chocs and biscuits for the elderly folk in my area. This time I will send all International gifts by recorded delivery. :-5

shopping online is the best...did it last year and didn't pay a single penny for shipping...try freeshipping.org & mybargainbuddy.com for coupons, etc.

Yes, we were in Costco Monday, & they already had Christmas cards & Christmas ribbons out, & it's only early August! They really force one to begin shopping early for Christmas! That's if you want choice pick of whatever. Come mid November we do some "chochcie" gift shopping for our friends & relatives, so they have something wrapped to open on Christmas day. But we mainly give "one size fits all", always the right color, and never has to be returned, Christmas "gift cards"!

And all are happy, being able to pick out exactally what they want, usually at "after holiday 50% off sale prices"!

So in reality, the donomination of the gift card given can actually double in value when they go shopping, at those sales! :) So . . . .

Only have one teen to shop for. Are they having any sales yet? I only buy if it is on sale. I went to one store and they have their halloween stuff down one isle, Thanksgiving stuff down the next and some Christmas stuff down the next.

I've heard of muli-tasking but muli-holiday shopping? :yh_rotfl

I hate trying to buy clothes for a teen. They are so picky. A gift card is the better way to go IMO. The teen I have here would rather have a gift card from Game Stop. He is into that sort of thing anyway. Not that I approve but that's the way it is. :-5
