American Foreign Aid

I hear many Americans complain about the amount of money that is spent out of the Federal Budget on Foreign Aid. The average American thinks it's about 24%. I'ts actually less than 1%. This is another one of those pieces of mis-information that gets tossed out for circulation and invades our email.

Good. Then Americans won't have to feel guilty if a president with balls cuts out all foreign aid. If we ever find a president like that.

You are right Hoppy------we ain't got no business feeding them dam starving heathen kids in Africa, and to hell with all that disaster relief, let em all rot I say.:-2

We're generous enough voluntarily. We don't need the gov't to take the money by force.

Really? Millions upon millions in voluntary disaster relief.

Don't get me started on Africa. One of my sons spent time in that armpit of the world when Clinton was prez. Son was over there on some UN mission thanks to Billy Bob. Son had to shoot a Somolian who was drawing a bead from a doorway, on another GI. UN commander was going to prosecute my son as an example, since the orders were not to fire on anyone without an OK from the commander, who was not even in the area then.

The moral among American troops was at an all time low at that time. I can only imagine what was said behind closed doors, but the matter was swept aside.

Some of those places in Africa have not produced a crop in anyone's memory, yet people still sit around pumping out fly covered kids. Get 'em the hell outa there or kill 'em off and let those areas go to desert.
