Who likes old movies?????
On Turner Classic Channel, they're running old Elvis Movies
I'm watching a 1958 Elvis with Juliet Prowse & Elvis..
Remember Juliet P..????? she was famous for her legs..
Juliet married John McCook - John was a back up dancer for Juliet at the time - he's now Eric on the Bold & Beautiful ...
Of course I love the 50's - and I love seeing the old movie stars..
It's interesting to see people before Botox
they actually have lines in their face - real emotion shown..
during this filming - Warner Bros. ask the Gov't. for special permission to allow Elvis to make this film before returning to service in the Army ...
Warner Bros. probably paid the Gov't $$$$ to keep Elvis for these movies..
Do you think you could ask the Gov't to return your son for a special event...!!
anyway there fun to watch if you'd like to catch them..
I like them - enjoy

Old Movies - Elvis
Hi Patsy.
They're running them because today is Elvis' death anniversary.
I have yet to see mention of it anywhere which is pretty sad.
I have seen every one of Elvis' movies and all the documentaries at least three times, excepting "Roustabout." I don't ever remember seeing it. Elvis was my first crush.
In 1977 I was eleven years old when he died. That is one of my few "Kennedy Moments." I know just where I was and what I was doing.

My husband new of the anniversary - I had no idea..!!
your right nothing was been mentioned re: anniversary - nothing...!
I have seen everything to do with Elvis & who didn't have a crush
what's not to love there..? My husband collects Elvis. Yeh, another collection.
I didn't know about Juliet Prowse's husband being Eric..
I suppose I should've asked Mr. trivia (husband) before posting this thread..:wah:
I enjoy looking at the 50's decor & fashion
and of course the actors.. Elvis was so so young - & so so handsome...!!
The song / music is cool & watching the dance compared to today.. funny..

they run them each year at this time, for the anniversary of his death which was August 16th, 1977.

Life is just to short for drama.
