10 people get stabbed in Bristol by frenzied knife man

Post by lou lou belle »

This happened last night, how awful for the people fo Bristol:-

A knifeman stabbed 10 people - including two police community support officers - as he ran amok in Bristol.

Eight people were injured in the frenzied and indiscriminate attacks on the Bristol to Bath cycle path in Easton before two police community support officers tackled the knifeman and were themselves stabbed.

Despite their injuries the PCSOs continued to wrestle with the man, who had a penknife, until police officers arrived.

One PCSO, who was stabbed in the back, remained in hospital last night. His colleague suffered cuts to his hands and was treated at Bristol Royal Infirmary before being allowed home.

The eight others who were hurt, all men, had stab wounds to the upper body. One man was stabbed in his side, another in the hip area, and the others suffered wounds to their arms and shoulders.

I am not sure as to whether the man had mental health issues but it must have been terrifying for all those concerned.

Its a shame when some give running amok a bad name. True... I only just said to a mok about this today and he's well unhappy.

Now to be fair to the opening poster, let's get off this a mok and return to topic.

I have just spoken to some-one about this article and it appears injuries were only minor however, I must say, a Big Bravo to the two PCSO's who tackled the man. We really can do with more officers like this in Britain and I hope they get promoted. :-6:-6

i have known some fantastic police officers and have many of them as friends

but i do know of a couple of bad apples that lie and one ******* that would even give you punch or kick if he could get away with it

the police are human just like us ..they have good police and bad police officers

See, in the US....someone in that crowd (excluding California/DC/New York) it would hvae gone like this as soon as someone was stabbed:

In real life, this could well be followed by the sound of more shots as other passers-by took whatever action they thought was needed, for instance shooting the first shooter, and the sound of ambulance sirens as previously uninvolved/innocent but now shot passers-by were carted off to hospital.

No, in the US the original weapon would have been a gun and ten people would have been dead.
