anti war and in the army

Post by farmer giles »

i know a few squaddies and one is in the army but very anti the war at the moment he is thinking of going absent without leave

he feels the war is illegal and he will be guilty of war crimes

i must say i really admire his guts but what will happen to him

he is in the british army

but if he was in the US army what would they do to one of their soldiers if he (or she) went awol too

if the Nazi soldiers were just following orders killing millions why is a soldier involved in an illegal war any different :thinking::thinking::thinking:

will the soldiers eventually be tried for war crimes

and will the deserters go to prison for deserting their army :thinking:

tough decisions indeed

How long has he been in? Going awol is NOT a good idea, it will never ever go away. Does he think he can just disappear for a while and go back later. If he has doubts he should speak to his CO or the regiments chaplain. He should resign from the army as quick as he can, it sounds like he should never have joined in the first place.
