Random Acts Of Kindness
I have found random acts of kindness to be one of the most personally fulfilling things I can do for others.
How do you pay it forward and how does that make you feel?

No one?
Theres a kid at work, very amiable and pleasant, a total goofball.
Hes not making much money and hes always running out of gas. I see him walking around the lunchroom eating white bread. Ive been hungry and it sucks.
Today Im making him a pork roast and Ill shred it for sandwiches and get him some fresh rolls and bring it to him tomorrow.
Easy to do, itll cost about 10 bucks and it will feel really good to lend a hand.

I have a very dear friend who lives close by. She doesnt have much at the moment. I make her dinner sometimes. I know she´d do the same for me.

I do it all the time without thinking, I took my mate to uni at the beginning of this week as her exam was deferred due to a death in the family. She insisted I didn't have to but I wanted to although I had no need to make the one and a half hour round trip myself.
I've handed over money so friends children get fed when they've been going through tough times.
I've put money on peoples electric or gas keys so they can have some heating on.
I've taken a neighbour shopping when her husband was too ill to take her himself.
I've gone and bought food to give to beggars and their dogs in the street as I refuse to give them money.
I've handed over clothes that my children have grown out of to the local refuge or salvation army.
All little bits and pieces that I do without thinking really.

I was raised to keep my alms private and I always give privately. I give according to how I am directed by my spirit because I do not have enough to give to everyone in need. The only people who know are those that receive my alms.
It is nothing to be proud of to live in a society where there are people who are homeless and hungry.

Opportunities to express kindness to others are usually spontaneous and unexpected. We don't wake up in the mornings with the thought, "Who can I be kind to today?"
Kindness can be the simple act of smiling to another, or saying, "hello", or looking them in the eyes when they speak to you .........just acknowledging that the other person exists. And for that moment, however brief, they were special to you.

Everyone should be as selfish as you. :-6:-6:-6
I enjoy helping strangers. I figure I've already won my friends over, so screw'em. :sneaky:
When I am going back to my car after shopping, I look for someone who can't find a parking space and point out where I am parked so they can have it next.
Since I am tall, I always help others reach stuff on the top shelf with a smile.
If I see someone in the hall at school looking down or lost in thought I belt out a hearty "SMILE!!" and beam my own to show them how it's done.
Usually I add a little something like "Smile! The day's almost over!" or something like that.
I never pass a person struggling with a heavy load without helping, holding a door open if nothing else.
Being nice makes me feel good.

Oh man, where are you at the grocery store...I'm only 5'4" and have to step on the lower shelf to get what I want. As for the parking spot, I do the same thing & when someone has forgotten their discount key card I let them use mine (free turkey in the end for me:sneaky:)....I also say hello to anybody walking down the street...in the end they remember you & say hi back next time.

I think it's because we've gone past the basic animal stage. We are prone to empathy - 'but for the grace of god go I', etc.
Who knows? On the other side of the coin, we are capable of greater violence, hatred and destruction than any animal.
Today, I was subjected to someone's sarcasm, yet the circumstances were almost entirely created by that person. Almost pure irony.

I've always been a very caring person, if I see someone in need, I'm there to help.
to many to list for acts of kindness.
the best is helping seniors who sometimes just can't do it on their own.
best one was helping a senior try to get to her car while pushing a huge cart of plants, I grabbed her cart and her arm, took her to her car, make her sit down and I loaded up her cart for her ......she was so thankful, she had never had help that way.
helping children when they are running in the middle of the road, I will dash out and lead them to the sidewalk.
everyone needs help once in awhile, so why not?
one day I will to.

A grandpa brought the grandkids with him to our garage sale yesterday. the four year old boy is clutching this dollar and looking through all the remote control cars and motorcycles my daughters brother had abandoned at my house years ago.. his older sister is explaining to him that he needs to look at the little hot wheels and such instead..
I explained to her that the actual rule of sale here was that if a sister and brother would promise to play with them together, they were free (1 each)to a good home. He could barely carry the motorcycle and she let him pick out hers.., but grandpa was more then happy to help them carry remotes... kept telling me it just didn't seen 'right' to be letting them do that..
Yeah? felt real right to me..

Took littleone and her friend to the local county fair, where her dad was showing cattle. It had lots of rides. Dad bought them each a wrist band and we walked around for four hours while they rode everything that wasn't 'too little' for them. They rode the ones that made me and him want to throw up just watching them several times each... they'd get off and go right back in line..:wah:
