Hi ya from Ontario, Canada!

Post by Bluerain22 »

Hi ya!

I found this site while Googling information on Wills and I've already met someone (Odie) who could answer my question. =D

I'm 25, born and raised in Ontario, Canada. I've been online since I was 12. A few words/phrases to describe me are: Procrastinator, Anglophile, Harry Potter Enthusiast, Movie Lover. I Google everything and encourage spontaneous singing/dancing.

I'm not sure how often I'll post on here. I go through phases, right now I'm into Twitter.

Anyway, I better get back to work! Try not to distract me to much =P

Yes, I have been in Ireland for 10 years, but I am from Toronto. I have been to Ottawa, great city.

I have driven from Toronto to Vancouver making my way all the way across highway 1.

I have driven from Toronto right out around the East Coast including PEI (although I have never managed to get to Newfoundland/Labrador).

I worked in Banff, and lived on Vancouver Island (for a year).

I love Canada, it is a beautiful country full of fantastic people. Glad to meet you! :)

Because he's acquired an Irish accent? Damn that would be sexy ;) But then again, I like all UK accents. Note To Self: Fall in love with someone from England and have adorable English babies. :-4

I sort of did that... G'day from Oz... dunno about the 'adorable' bit - bablies squawk the same with any accent, I've found.

I do like the fact you cause people to sing and dance. I get accused of that somehow too. But I'm blonde so it goes with the territory. :sneaky: Anyway welcome to the Garden.

I used to babysit for a couple from Australia who were here on a work exchange, very nice couple. I remember they thought our cheese was a funny colour and soothers are called dummies (which I thought was cute). Have you ever been to Canada?

Babies cry, fact...but when they start talking in a posh English accent, that's ADORABLE :P lol

Someone calls them pacifiers too. Americans? What about the phrase 'spit the dummy' - isn't that common everywhere where English is sort of spoken?

We call diapers nappies too.. :sneaky:

I've never been to Ottawa. Have had a few adventures in Vancouver, stayed with a friend on Vancouver Island, drove to Kamloops and Whistler, and got the train to Edmonton, Alberta where I have another friend. Skied Silver Star one year. So I've only sketchily been to Canada. Would like to visit Quebec one day and see the East Coast too.

Wow! I think you may have already done more when I have, and I live here :P

I don't think I have ever heard the phrase 'spit the dummy' and yes, I do believe some Americans call it a Pacifier. I've also heard of nappies.

When you go to Quebec, don't let any of them fool you into thinking they don't speak English...most likely they do!! hehe

No, I don't have diabetes, my dad does and since I live with him we are trying our best to make the house Diabetes Friendly. Just don't tell him that at work, we get fresh baked muffins quite often and I never have the will to say no! haha
