Yes, I wanted to go but I can't leave the dogs that long. I'm going thursday when he goes to a closer lake to us for Carp. I can nip home here and there then to see to the dogs.

I've been really lazy today lying on the patio. I'm so thrilled to have Nomad on facebook now.

It's great............ I can make a mess without being nagged :yh_rotfl

That Jimbo is soooooooooooooooo is big trouble now :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

glad your enjoying FB now!

I wondered when you said overnight, I wondered how the dogs would handle with their washroom duties.

lazy days are good!

lazy days are good! I have a good neighbour friend who has keys to my house and can come in to let the dogs out for washroom duties but she can never get Mulder back in again when she goes. he just ignores her :wah: that worries me too much.

Pete just rang and he's just caught the biggest Chub fish that he's ever had. Not a National record but very near. the others took pics of it for him. :guitarist:guitarist

That's why she's been scavaging for food. I've seen the other one out there as well, he was eating with the foxes last night and he is equally as thin and ravenous. How can people be so cruel? They are very timid but I will do my best for them :-4 They Certainly won't go hungry, I'll make sure of that.

No wonder they were so hungry and I had no Idea. People like that should be tracked down and prosecuted :-5

Yep, I'm here and I'm bad :wah:

Spot doesn't understand the lingo Odie. He's not down in the hood getting fierce pimping his ride.

Just want to say thanks to everyone for all the e mails and support. As usual, you are all stars.

It's great that we are all on facebook and can gossip at our ease.

There is a woman in the next road who moved out a few weeks ago and I've now been told that the kittens were hers and she moved and abandoned them. She's been reported to the authorities before so I am not surprised they are hers. I have no idea where they go during the day but they are now waiting at the gate every night with the foxes and I get a fab welcome from them but that's because I have food of course :wah:

Thankyou for all you have done :-4:-4

I must admit that my eyes tend to glaze over at the mere ramblings of Pete and his crew at the joys of Freshwater Carp Fishing, much the same as his eyes glazing over the minute I mention British Government.

I have actually seriousley come to love these fish, the Barbel. The euphoria over catching one is down to the fact that they are so damn hard to catch and so elusive. When they are caught, they have a might that makes them incredibly difficult to land. I've heard of anglers taking up to 2 hours just to reel in a regular sized one. To catch one in the first place takes a huge amount of skill and know how and even when hooked, they will fight like the devil and get away. Pete had one a few weeks ago that he hooked and lost and It's the only fish he's ever had that managed to straighten out a forged fishing hook. That is some power In that fish !!!!!

These fish also are in very small numbers and Barbel hunters can often go months without getting one at all. There locations are kept tighter than the crown jewels in the fishing world and when they post pics of their catches on their forum, they can not show any background that will identify the area that the Barbel has been caught. One new poster posted a pic of his catch recently and the admin went crazy as his pic gave away the area that he was fishing in.

In the water Barbel are like flourescent torpedo's. Kathy will be thrilled to learn that he caught this one on the line she sent him from the States.

That stupid fish singing must be going around the world at yard sales:yh_rotfl...the most you can do with it is put up with it for about 3 months before you want to punch the thing or take the batteries out.:wah:

Meeting went well. We had an excellent guest speaker from London, an ex Tory Member of Parliment.

I did my little bit reasonably well I suppose.... no-one boo'd me anyway :wah:

I was officially nominated to stand for my ward in the Parlimentary Election coming up soon so I have a massive amount of canvassing to do in the next several months.

I'm going to be out alot this weekend and next week here and there meeting peeps.... good fun :driving:

Canvassing means standing in shopping malls talking to folk and handing out leaflets and it's alot of fun. Do you think Gordon Brown is worried that I'm standing against him? :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

I am working tonight and when i get home i need to bath puppy ready for her show tomorrow. Can't have her stinking of ciggy smoke :wah:

Glad your knuckle is better as i can remember when i had two broken fingers and couldn't even lift a coffee cup for weeks. I went in and seperated two dogs who were virtually killing each other and one bit me so bad, he broke 2 fingers as well as taking my little finger down to the bone.

I'll be on later tonight but you have a great day :-6:-6

It's funny the amount of them that you see at garage sales. I suspect everyone had one for about a week and then threw it out. The one i had also moved his head and i did punch it one day :yh_rotfl

Long day today... I'm organising an auction to raise some funds for my election campaign. It involves peeps donating good quality items and then we hold an auction for them at a meeting. We have several war vet supporters so I have started the ball rolling by donating a pic of a 'Spitfire' that was given at signed and Veterans day in Belgium. I'm hoping to see them bid some big bucks for it. I've done these before and they are great fun.

Poor you having to clean in such hot weather !! Quite chilly here today.

Pete went to look at Aquariums last week funny enough. I really fancy having one but we're arguing now over a 'common tank' that he wants and specialised fish that I want. Of course I have to awkward :wah: My neph has catfish that I really like.

Been out all day again today and sooooooo tired with all this chasing around.

It was only hot outside when cutting the grass.

I love my fish and I always have real plants.

I purposely buy several that are live-bearers, to see the young are just to cute and tiny!

I have the common fish, the ones called 'community' which means they are non-aggressive..........

but a salt water tank is the ultimate.

google salt water fish species and you will be amazed at their colors......quite a it more expensive, that I cannot afford, but you really must see them in a fish store to see and admire their colours.

Most have sand for the bottom of the tank, instead of stones like reglar tropical fish.........you must see the sand in them......it looks spectular and real to life, which it is.

1......set up tank and let sit for a week before adding fish.......Only add around 3 fish for at least 1 month.....then very gradually add more.

2...... use real plants....fish love to eat them and its better for the tank.

3....... only feed once a day......I give them frozen brine shrimp 3 times a week at night for a treat.

4...... never overcrowd your tank, as they're will not be enough oxygen for them and they will die.
