I love my fish and I always have real plants.

I purposely buy several that are live-bearers, to see the young are just to cute and tiny!

I have the common fish, the ones called 'community' which means they are non-aggressive..........

but a salt water tank is the ultimate.

google salt water fish species and you will be amazed at their colors......quite a it more expensive, that I cannot afford, but you really must see them in a fish store to see and admire their colours.

Most have sand for the bottom of the tank, instead of stones like reglar tropical fish.........you must see the sand in them......it looks spectular and real to life, which it is.

1......set up tank and let sit for a week before adding fish.......Only add around 3 fish for at least 1 month.....then very gradually add more.

2...... use real plants....fish love to eat them and its better for the tank.

3....... only feed once a day......I give them frozen brine shrimp 3 times a week at night for a treat.

4...... never overcrowd your tank, as they're will not be enough oxygen for them and they will die.
Thanks for the advice Joan. Pete has had tanks all his life and common tanks but I want one like my nephews which I believe is salt water. The cost is frightening though.

Do you know... It's funny.... some-thing occured to me very recently?

Enemies...... Some-times through un-avoidable circumstances, one must face their enemy and then you find that they were not your enemy after all but in fact you were striving for the same things. Some-times you have to break down the barrier you built between them and listen to what they are saying. Oddly, you come to a compromise. You both want the same thing but look at It in a different light. You can come to compromise... a 'you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours' type scenario. OK, this person and I will never be buying each other drinks but a compromise has been reached which we will both benifit from greatly. I'll give him what he wants providing he sticks to his pledge to keep the promises he has made to us.

Ahh well, that's life.

salt water equipment and fish are expensive, but if you can afford it, its worth it.

-there was no barrier..... and I tried and tried....now, I'm worn out and no longer care......as enough is enough, and I have moved on.

if it was meant to be, a friend would have stayed, if they were a friend;)

I did to much today, now I have a headache.......woke up feeling like ****....should have just rested.

if was meant to be, a friend would have stayed.;) I don't know Joan... I look at the dedication nephew has to put into his tank and all the getting the chemicals right.:thinking: He does however have some awesome unique fish.

No.. as for the enemy, I myself reflected on some off the record telephone conversations in the last few days with a senior police officer.

Pete's been fishing all day and won't be back until late. I was suppossed to deliver leaflets tonight for the campaign but I'm in a lazy mood so I think I will go up my Turkish pal's and get free food :sneaky: :wah:

No... It's illegal here to kill a Chub also :wah:

Just been out there and boy was she hungry? I've dumped a whole tin of Whiskers on the grass and left her to It. She has become very affectionate and wants to come in now. have to Introduce her slowly to Mulder. There is no way the foxes will out-smart her. Before I started feeding her, I watched her wrestle a chicken leg with a fox once and she won. :wah: I take out a tin of cat meat and draw her away from the foxes feeding area. Then she can munch in peace and the foxes get some peace.

Rather over the top :wah: or they must have been on a tea break. At least they got there within 5 minutes which is what I was promised very recently.

So tired today.... been sorting out things for the auction but now have to go out again.

laters my foxy friend! Time enough for a quick post.

Woodpeckers ?? You are so lucky. We rarely see them here although they visit my brothers garden in the South of England.

Can't really go into details Odie as two youths are to appear in court very shortly over the rascist attack on my friends. They thought it would be fun to come back for some more !!!!! Only, they didn't bank on me being in there :wah: Have to say... the police were very good. :) All was caught on camera as well.

Yes, because my friends have dark skin and speak 'funny', some youths find It almost a divine right to be as abusive as they like to them. Where do these kids get It from? Has to be the parents.

Tell you what... If he shut shop and they couldn't get any take-away food, they'd cry their eyes out.

She is so hungry and so thin, It's tragic. I want to just bring her in the house but It has to be done slowley with Mulder. He's way too territorial and possessive but If It's done slowly, he'll accept her.

She was so hungry tonight that I put a pile of shredded beef on the grass for her and she dived on It but then she saw me putting the fox food down a few feet away and she ran over to that. She didn't know what to eat first, bless her.

I never see her In the mornings and then we are out most days. Also, during the day, Mulder is out the front and probably frightens her off. She knows that late at night, he's not there. You know I will do my best for her.

have to do some chores and errands......be back later foxy lady!

Pete's done all the chores and the shopping today :driving::driving:

Did I tell you I had the police here again last night? One of the take-away drivers was held up and robbed last night. No chance of getting them as they were in hoodies but they were aged 14 to 16 years old. I dispair for this country, I really do.

That's the new bath tub :wah: He can't fit in the sink. I couldn't find him until I went to the bathroom and there he was asleep in the tub. Look at the hatred in those orange eyes after i woke him up. :yh_rotfl

Awe, I thought you'd do it cuz you love me...:(

It will take time to do Lacey and Cody, but Sophie is still small enough that she doesn't fit into the bear catagorie yet! :wah:

They do have leasher, but no muzzles...they're good babies. :-4
