How embarrassing!

OMG, i was in my local Mall yesterday, when I bumped into a girl I knew in college.

She had moved to France and was staying with her parents for a few weeks.

I asked her when was the baby due? yep..... you know what I,m going to say next..

She replied I had her five months ago, she over there with her dad

I looked over nodded at her husband who was holding the pram, I then wanted the floor to open up. I just did,nt know where to put myself. I made a hasty retreat and felt awful. I have to see her again soon as we are arranging a school reunion and she's going. lol!

Have you ever put your foot in it?

Now and again yes :wah: you did go over and make a fuss of the baby though hey ?

The one I felt the worst about was meeting a friend I went to school with in the local supermarket, she had her toddler with her and I asked her if she would be having any more. to which she replied that she'd gone through an early menopause and therefore couldn't. I sympathised etc and changed the subject asking as to how her mum was to which she informed me that her mum had passed away the previous week. It was one of those days where the best thing to do would be just to go home and not come out again.

I hate it when that happens! and yes I went over and made a real fuss of the baby. I hope thats she will forget this next time i see her.

I was going on and on at work one day about how much I hated seeing this guy come in, what a pain he is, etc. when it dawned on me that I was saying it to his BIL. :wah: He told me not to worry about it because everything I said was true.

I saw one guy stick both feet in his mouth when he said to a guy, "How's your brother?" His reply? "Dead." :wah:

I've done it many times. There was this lady I worked with on occasion. I knew she liked me. That could only mean she was a whacko. Anyway, she was my age, had 6 kids, some still home. One day she "You aren't dating anyone, are you"? I blurted out without thinking, "no, everyone I know is too young, too old or got too many kids". She took it personal. I can't prove it was her but after that the story started circulating that I was gay. Not only that but a couple of her sons were grown up. They threatened to do some serious butt kicking. If you are reading this, I'm sorry. It wasn't really aimed at you.

I've had it done to me. I laughed harder the redder she got. I told her it wasn't her fault that I had a gut this size and if I really worried about the comments I would do something about it.
