Castration for pedophiles ?

Poland passes a law making chemical castration mandatory for pedophiles.

Its a very emotive subject for us all and one most of us feels that not enough is done to halt the threat to our kids and to punish those that have violated .

Would chemical castration take away the urges ?

I saw a documentary on TV some years ago, which stated that even though you remove the instrument you do not, unfortunately remove the urge ! Whether anything more has been discovered about removing the actual 'urge' I really don't know. It would seem that the only thing to do would be to remove the testosterone that causes the 'urge', or whatever causes the urge. But how to do this I just wouldn't have a clue about. Maybe chemicals can sterilise whatever produces testosterone !

Anybody have any thoughts about this? :-3

I think that's the key Gill....getting rid of the urge. Pedos can hurt children with other tools.

Who would be the ones administering the drug and if its themselves, how would it be monitored?

I think it's a start but not nearly enough of a punishment..

I say we just inject the males with an overload of testosterone and lock em all up in a room together for an indefinite amount of time
