Good Day Folks

Post by lawncareproblems »

Hi fellow gardeners.

My name is Dominic and I'm a 42 year old male living in the United Kingdom.

Just bought a new house from a lovely old lady but the greenery is looking extremely tired so looking to learn from 'those who have gone before'.

I'll be asking a whole bunch of questions probably.

Speak soon I hope

Ta ta for now

Hi Dom, welcome to ForumGarden.

Patio slabs, mate, it's the only way. Lawns need mowing. If you like green, buy green ones.

Good call Spot but you can't bury your tootsies in a patio slab (under it yes - but I ain't dead yet!)

Welcome to the Garden.

Don't have a lawn, have a vegetable patch instead. Home grown produce tastes better than anything you can buy.:)

Lone voice: "I'm not."

hello from Canada mate and welcome!

First off your grass needs fertilizing.....they have spring, summer, fall and winter fertilizers 'marked on the bags'.....you need to buy the fall one......Scotts is the best brand.

Apply using a fertilizer hand held spreader, there is no need to apply water and it will not burn your grass.......however since your grass needs everything.....if it hasn't rained really well within 2 days of applying the fertilizer...start watering the grass, for 45 minutes 4 nights in a row.
Life is just to short for drama.
