Update on Oscar's brother

Post by Oscar Namechange »

For those who remember, I posted a thread when my brother fell from his race- horse and had his legs crushed by her landing on him.

He now has to have more surgery as the problems with his ligaments have worsened and in one leg the bone is not knitting. He has been prepared for the worse that he may be on crutches for the rest of his life.

I am going down in a few weeks to spend some time with him. :(

Thankyou.... The Physio has been long and painful and It's really set him back to hear he needs further surgery. He Is a very active sportsman and this was a huge blow to him.

The horse is leaping around like a puppy without a blemish by the way.

She was OK due to landing on his wallet.

Its a good thing you have national health care. Over here that horse would still be stomping on his wallet.:wah:

Thanks Joan :-4 When my bro hurts... I hurt :(

I so wanted him well enough for him to see our favourite race-horse 'Kauto Star' go for the record on boxing day but we will have to wait and see how the sugery goes.

He has had Thrombocytopenia all his life which is a condition where he does not replace Platelets quick enough in the blood and It's this that's hampering recovery and making him so ill.

Oscar your entire family is in my thought and prayers. This has been a rough couple of month for you. :-4
ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"
