Anit virus pro 2010 virus

This is a heads up about a very nasty virus going around. It is very well done so be careful, unfortunately my home computer has been infected and it is hard to get rid of.

You receive a very convincing virus warning called Anit virus Pro 2010, you will know you have it cause the first thing that will happen is that your computer will actually shut down.

You then receive what looks to be an offer from Microsoft with an new anti virus to fix your computer, the program is about $40.00 to purchase, it is a scam, do not buy it, it is part of the virus.

I have not fixed my home computer yet so I cannot give advice yet how to do it, but it is a very nasty virus.

If you get the warning, do not open the message, close your computer down and reboot.

WARNING THIS IS A VIRUS

It's not a new VIRUS it has been around for several years they just change the year. It is one of the nastiest I have ever had to deal with. If your smart you will download right now "Malwarebytes" install it update it run the quick scan it will help if you have trojan now you don't know about. When the quick scan its done it will let you know then click on "Show Results" select delete all and restart your machine.It is free and it works It will kill most of this virus and give you your computer back then you have to run a complete virus scan (whatever you have).

If you get the "Antivurus 2010" popup don't do anything but hit the red X and get out of it run Malwarebytes and pray it didn't install itself. If it installs itself malwarebytes will remove most of it and release your control panel so you can go to add and remove software and uninstall it. Once it has established itself in your registry it may show up again it is an ugly virus so keep MALWAREBYTES updated and running every few days.

It installs itself quickly if you click on the wrong thing cancel doesn't work, noting works but the red X. It hijacks your desktop, control panel and your toolbar you will be dead in the water unless you protect yourself now and don't install this clever made to look like a Microsoft product.

I have worked on many machines that have been infected with this virus not pretty and the results if its not stopped could mean you will have to reformat your entire hard drive.

Rule of thumb NO one piece of software in todays world will protect you, you have to have several items, a good antivirus software, Malwarebytes, "Hijack this"(advanced users only). If you think otherwise you will get caught with a virus.

Im malwared up

Plus I got rid of a hard water stain on the floor in front of the shower

Life is good again

Should I remove anything from add remove programs?

Good news about the water stain yes remove it if it is in add and remove programs. Keep that Marlwarebytes up to date and run it every three or four days. It will save you hours of grief.
