Something to be thankful for...

Post by Raven »

As I peruse all the threads, It's no wonder why I feel so depressed. How about something nice? Has anyone had a GOOD day? Has anyone seen a pretty sunrise or sunset lately? Has someone said "I love you" to you today?

A stray kitty friend of mine returned to her bowl out back! I had been missing her dreadfully, thinking something awful had happened to her. She looks scrawny and malnourished tho. I cant bring her in, because she is probably sick, and I have two very happy and healthy mogs in already.

My brother is okay after finding a weird lump. I adore my brother (5 years younger) and the thought of him being really ill scared me $hitless!

My husband wasnt made redundant after all, because of a lucky break in his contract. Just moved to another warehouse. (DHL isnt doing so good folks)So we get to stay in our house!

And I passed all of my essays. Only one more year of uni left! Then qualified Nurse I be! :-6

Where do I start? I'm thankful for my kids, stepdaughter, grandkids, hubby. Although I am in pain every day, I am thankful that I can still function. I'm thankful that I have a job when so many people don't. I'm thankful for the food on the table and warm house to call home. :-6

I have lots to be thankful for today. What could have turned into a horrible day has actually turned out not too bad (so far)

One of my friends from college sent me a text this morning telling me that she has a placement sorted out for me in the special needs department of the school that she works at.

I'm absolutely speechless. She really is a sweetheart and she restored my faith in my fellow man. Bless her heart .... there are good people out there:)

I got an email from my sister today. She's teaching English in Madrid and I miss her more than you could imagine. She is a little star and she makes me smile always.

She is happy (if pennyless) and she is loving every minute of it. I love her for going out into that big bad world and doing what makes her happy.

:D
Very nearly perfect ... :D

Having been homeless and hungry, I'm always thankful I have a warm, dry place to live and enough to eat.:)

Keeping body and soul together goes in the plus column Hoppy! Yeah been homeless myself a time or two!

But the last time ended up with me getting my first set of qualifications. But how hard is it to be homeless in Arizona? At least I didnt worry about the cold!

I had a stray that looked like yours, I fed her 3-4 times a day, he is no longer malnourished.

I also bought him de-worming pills and put them in his food daily.

I am thankful for my health, my 4 cats and my house that provides me with a warm and cozy place to live and I have food on my plate everyday.

I am thankful that I live in Canada, a free country that has treated me fairly and kindly.

I'm thankful to get up each morning and listen to all the happy birds chirping in the gardens when I feed them.

I am thankful for the kind and gentle friends I have met right here.
