I've just heard that the guy heading the FMEA in N.O. has been called back to Washington...does this mean he's sacked ???

There's the flaw with old-school centralized decision-making. The guys that actually did the blocking thought it was stupid as hell. But orders is orders. You don't have the propah papahs you don'ts get in.
