Rosie has started trembling as well and whining. I remember you posting last year that poor Shiela has a hard time. As Rosie is still so young and her first taste of fireworks, we have Ignored her being upset. It sounds cruel but I know that If I fuss her, she will soon work out that she will get a cuddle and play on It. Is it me? Or do these damn things seem to get bigger and louder every year?

Yes you do right to ignore her ,, i let Sheila come sit by me and even give her a stroke ,,, just as normal really ,, but dont go in for the ohhhh poor baby routine etc as it makes her worse,,, something about by fussing over them in an agitated state you are re enforcing their feeling and saying that is ok to be stressed.. if you get what i mean,, ours seemed to have died off a bit here now ,, im off to watch telly ,,:D

I had to ask Mike over last night as we needed to give Spike a bath.

He's the runt of a litter and scares very easily.

he got out when I fed Shyguy and ran under my car and got all greased up.

I hate giving him a bath, we dried him off and he stayed with Mike until he went to work....then I just finally saw him at noon today as he was hiding from me, I called and called him all morning, then tempted him with more food.

He is still greasy and he sat with me finally tonight and we cuddled up together while he purred.

now he's trying to cuddle up with all the cats, trying to get them to lick the back of his neck where the grease is....poor little guy..the cats just don't want to, guess the smell is to strong....

this looks exactly like him last night.

aaawwwwww Poor Spike. Just as well you got the most off him. If they clean themselves and Ingest it, It can make them so Ill. We used to have a cat who like to sit under cars and was always covered in yuk and exhaust soot.

Glad you got Mike Over to help. Same here... It takes two of us to get Oscar in the bath and keep him there.

I had another service today at another town that was very moving. I'm always very aware that each year may be the last time I see some of the old boys.

I have a very busy week this week... lots of meetings so tonight I am going to slob out infront of the tv.

It's odd because I soooo wanted to stand in the election and knew I would have to build my profile but now with the election just 6 months away... Oh God !!! At first, it was quite a slow pace, maybe one meeting a month but It is so full on now. I get an e mail every day from the Party telling me where to go and where to be seen.
