They suck, I mean after 19 years you'd think i would have learned that... But no, I didn't. This entire week of mine has been entirely ruined because i told a lie and it blew up in my face ruining a really good relationship and a trust that i thought was unbreakable... and seriously it was a really small white lie! Yes, i feel horrible and now the sweet trusting abby who would never lie to hurt someone has been slapped in the face with a lesson that sucks. I was in the belief of the ends justifies the means... yea thanks machivelli or however your name was spelt... thanks buddy.
Has anyone ever told a really lame lie to cover something and it blow up in your face?

Oh, a hard lesson to learn my dear. Yes, I am sure we have all told lies at one point in our lives, it usually is not worth it in the end.

Ah, anger and being yelled at is upsetting. I hope you are never yelled at again in your life.

You got to 19 without being yelled at. That is a real achievement, Omni!! It feels worse when you know you deserve it - you suffer doubly. The yelling confrontation, and beating yourself up as well. Get up, dust off, make amends or say sorry, forgive yourself and move on. Tough, but it works. Strange, but humans aren't perfect. We mess up sometimes.
I still feel the guilt of stealing a five cent piece from my dad's desk when I was little. Sadly, I got away with it. If I'd been caught and clobbered, it would now be long forgotten, instead of still being there in my psyche, a permanent reminder of my non perfection.

Your painful experience is just part of life. We live and learn.
Lying is wrong. Yelling at someone is wrong too. IMO

its a tough lesson to learn.
don't be so hard on yourself.
sit down with your friend and talk it through.
