I had a lazy day today apart from work tonight. Nothing exciting to report. Peanut is more active today so looks like she may amke a good recovery.
good, glad to hear it! Was quite concerned with her eye swelling that it may of been infection.
glad you just relaxed most of the day.
The basket was easy, find a long wide one, make a hold in the bottom for the light plug, fill with any nursery greens, pine cones, berries, small ornaments, etc. just spread the lights around everything.

That sounds fantastic and I'm definately going to try that.
This time of year, we usually go off into the woods and collect Ivy, Holly etc for me to make the wreaths for the graves at Christmas. At least the bloody rabbits in the graveyards don't eat Ivy etc.
Just about to put a thread on as It's my wedding anniversary in the morning and we are going out for the day.

Hello :wah:
What a mad weekend I've had. Yesterday and all last night I was in a place called 'Street' in Somerset, on a training course for the party, then we went on to the 'Mendips' for more training and a meal. There was quite a prominent member of the Party there, an elected Councillor who was doing the training. Things are hotting up as we only have until June for the election.
I also have a real dilemma right now. I am set to go to Kempton Park to see 'Kauto Star' bid for his 4th consequtive win in the King Goerge stakes but my Turkish friends are having a big family get together Boxing day and my friend was so dissapointed when I said I would not be there to see her Mama and Papa again. I really don't know what to do now. I'll also miss out on all that fabulous Turkish food.
Today I had afternoon tea at my house for my Turkish and Lithuanian pals to show off some new furnature. I went to all the trouble of getting Turkish coffee and they didn't want It. They wanted English coffee :wah: We do this thing regually where we swop all our clothes that we don't wear any more. We had a great laugh trying on each others things today. My friend Nuray, in particular always has designer gear so I had a few things from her.
Peter's pal has had a heart attack and went under valve surgery last night so he's worried about him.
We have Invited some of his fishing pals for Christmas dinner and It now looks like they will be staying over night so they can have a drink. They don't have wives or family so it will be good for them to come over. I'm looking forward to cooking a huge Christmas dinner for them all. They had just better bring me a present :sneaky:

Yes, went down to see my brother a few weeks ago but It was a very fleeting visit. I will be seeing him soon over Christmas which means another long drive as he can't drive at all.
I don't like being around people who drink too much, to be honest, It reminds me of my ex-husband who would get very nasty with drink. Pete's mates are OK, they are not like that although I have banned the subject of Fishing over Christmas because I'll be out-numbered.
Tomorrow I am putting the Xmas Decs up in the take-aways and making some tips boxes for the counters for the staff. They usually do very well for tips every year. I'll be getting my own tree out tomorrow also but still unsure of It with Rosie still be so young and Inquisitive.
Peter is OK... responding well to treatment although It exhausts him. My sister was in hospital today for further tests. It's wearing me out. My brother who's horse crushed him Is a 5 hour round drive to Sussex and my sister is a 3 hour round drive to Dorset. Kay as you know finished with my nephew and has a new boyfriend which I'm very pleased about but she still brings the baby to the prison once a month to see his dad for Babys day. My nephew is looking forward to his roast dinner Christmas day in prison because they only get one a year. People think they get all these luxuries inside but they don't. He's been in there nearly six months now and has only just earnt the right to wear a designer Hoodie I got him. He's passed loads of exams in there and is doing well. He just wants the trial over so he knows how long he has got in there.... as we all do.
I have an emergency dentist appointment tomorrow. Last night I was eating nuts and heard this awful crunch and pain. When I wobbled the tooth to see how bad It was, it fell out. :wah: Pete's been calling me 'Gappy' today.
Hope your Ok.

So good to hear Pete is responding well to treatment. Kay briefly got back with him and now they have seperated for good. I'm pleased because she is too young to wait for a lifer ( If he's found guilty).
No.. The tooth came out all on It's own when I wiggled It. I'll have to have a bridge which will be mega bucks :-5:-5

can you just have a partial plate? I don't want a plate at all. They can put implants in now but they are ridiculousley expensive. It's a bottom front tooth and shows so I'm just off to the dentist now.
Your right that Kay is better off without him. She is far too young to wait up to 15 years for a lifer, that's If he's found guilty. The forensics are not looking good for the prosecution but good for the defence. There is every chance he could get off. Even so, It'll be another 6 months until the trial is finished and she needs to get on with her life.

The forensics are not looking good for the prosecution but good for the defence. There is every chance he could get off. Even so, It'll be another 6 months until the trial is finished and she needs to get on with her life.
Partial plates are also really uncomfortable as I have one as I just could not afford the implants. I thought you had to get a bridge and those are really really expensive.
Even is he gets off from what he has done? Kay just does not need to put her life on hold for him.
as you say, bloody hell, its cold out today!:yh_rotfl
Your right that Kay is better off without him. She is far too young to wait up to 15 years for a lifer, that's If he's found guilty. Well, I've decorated all the shops this morning for our friend and put staff tips boxes in them.
Peter decorated the house this morning and I love the twinkly lights. I've decided to get the Christmas tree out and If Puppy gets too nosey, It'll have to go back in the loft again.
It was best friends birthday yesterday and I asked her what her husband had got her. She said tickets to the Ukraine for Christmas... How the other half live eh? Then I told her it was minus 30 degree's out there. Shortly afterwards, her husband hit us with the fact that he'd like us to mind the take-away for the week while they are away. I just don't know how I'm going to fit It in. I need to visit family and we have guests for Christmas day who are now staying the night as well. I can't moan... I think of you at Christmas... will you be alone? I do hope not. :-4
I had to see Pete's nurse also. He Insisted that my house must be smoke free and said Pete will not last much longer If I keep smoking Indoors. I got some nicotine patches. I'm not going to try to stop completely as I have tried and failed so many times but now just smoke outside the house. His nurse called me selfish for continuing to smoke in the house with Peter the way he is... I couldn't argue with him and felt awful.

two black striped neons
4 real plants
3 golden snails, they suck up the crap on the tank and eat the snails.:yh_rotfl
then later.....my other scissor fish suddenly died.
now I have to go and buy another one as they must swim in schools.

now I have to go and buy another one as they must swim in schools. It's funny... I was looking forward to having our guests for Christmas and enjoyed their company but God, I was so glad when they went home. That sounds awful but It was lovely having the house back to ourselves and being able to pick my nose and fart. :yh_rotfl
Dinner was good even though I say it myself although I forgot to put the parsnips in the oven. I got quite drunk In the afternoon and as I never drink, it went straight to my head and I had to lie down. I went out like a light and woke up 4 hours later. I felt bad Ignoring my guests like that, but Peter was there.
Hey, don't fish swim in shoals not schools? :yh_rotfl
