OK----I have watched several movies on the Blueray Format and although it's a good picture and sound I don't see that much of a distinguishable difference from HD and don't feel that very slight difference warrants the additional cost. But then----that's just my opinion.

I suppose it depends on what setup you have. I've noticed an immense difference with my setup between HD-DVD and BD. You are using the HDMI cable, correct? That's an absolute must.
How's that eyesight, too? :p

I've played the Blueray through the PS3 and Roku via a flat screen Panasonic TV with great resolution. Eyesight is 20 20 withour correction.
HD is through Direct TV (satellite) with HD receiver. Blueray only sightly better IMHO.

Oh, Yeah, the digital signals should be pretty close to blue-ray quality. There will be a noticable difference between BD and upscaled or HD-DVD disks—millions of colours vs. billions of colours and no colour banding.
