Goodbye for a little while

Turning the net off at the old house today and I'll be back on when I find out which type of internet I'll need at the new place. And how much it's going to cost me ...EEK!!! We're further out than I realised

So far all's well, except that a fox took all keehans ducklings and chicks the other night .

Send that T shirt Nommy. I have something special in mind for it.

Take care fuzz. If you get back online and find the Internet's empty you'll have missed a world war or something. Short of that, we'll still be here.

Can't you transfer posts by carrier pigeon while you're moving?

Nah our pigeons are too fat for that . (Speaking of which I almost forgot about them. *shrugs* job for tomorrow;) )

I'll come back on with photos of the new place, probably during high shearing season.

watched a sunrise from the porch yesterday morning and a lightening storm come across the horizon last night. I've landed on my feet again that's for sure.

So do I Abbey, we've been moving stuff for over a week now and so far only a little rain . You have no idea the race it was to move matresses:wah:

Hi peeps just stopped in for a minute. (at the library)

Had time to think a bit about everything, even made a desicion on what I want to be when I grow up. Life is very exciting at the moment .......albeit stressful .

Put our house on the market so I'll have funds again, once it's sold.. Getting the internet connected is like pulling teeth at the moment, getting the right connection as to where we are is an act in futility.

UPDATE.

Well firstly we have a knew dog. "Grace" is a fox terrier that Brett brought home. Tested her out and is now part of the family. ..........Can't stand fox terriers. :-5 but the kids love her already. Next day Brett pushed the boundaries by bringing us a joey ........which he believed we were going to raise......UUhhhh NOOO!!!! I made him take it to the native zoo down the road.

Then he began to go on about the turtles in the creek and how they would look good and be useful in the damn............Again, NOOOO!!! I seem to be spending my time saying no to him a lot lately.

Keehan has settled in quite well and just recieved accolades at school for writing a 2000 page essay. Eleven pages long apparently. what's really funny is I asked him jokingly, why so long? He said, his teacher told him he could do better so he thought his teacher could do with some reading, so he made it really long. :wah:

so that's about it really

Update .......Well it's been a horrible couple of weeks around this area. First the 146 year old general store burnt down. then a friend and the owner of the pub went out fishing and a wave hit the side of the boat upturning it and one the those on board drowned. Then one of my sons friends died in a Ute accident.

happens in threes' doesn't it? so we'll be good for awhile I suppose.

that's the least of my worries ...the connection is so painfully slow. It's supposed to be faster than this but ....here's to living in the middle of nowhere.

hi odes!!!! Everything is good .......(thing is though i'm beginning to come to the understanding that if you think you're being watched you probably are .......so i'll only talk about simple things going on rather than personal stuff on this board. )

things are fine . they rebuilt my engine so I have my car back now. and the kids are all good. the boys and I are joining St john ambulance..........Okay I'm making Brett join but Keehan and I are pretty keen. fire season is with us again and all the new rules are in place. (load of crap to be honest but if they can't think of anything else then I suppose it's what we have to put up with .* sigh* )

About to replace my ducks and chooks and the kitchen garden is in the middle of being built and I'm converting some of the stables into a pig pen.

chrissy tree is up .

my place is off the beaten track a bit but it's so quiet and I'm enjoying the rainbow lorikeets and corellas and cockys and rosellas . I have an orchard so it's apple sauce for everyone and plum jam and peach spread.

the boys like it a lot up here.
