Cell Phones

We have cell phones instead of a land line (we use the missus' cell as the 'home' number), but I avoid talking on the phone in public and we NEVER use them while driving.

Cell Phones

They are a big part of our lives and that won't change. They will become more powerful and the ability to just about anything will be the norm.

I have an IPHONE I couldn't be without it for my job. It has allowed me the freedom to do my work from anywhere in the world at a moments notice without have to travel with a LAPTOP it is one beautiful piece of equipment.

Do I take calls and text when its inappropriate NO that is rude as you say. Etiquette and how and when to use a cell phone is the issue not the device itself.

Example my mothers LANDLINE has been out for 2 weeks now in her entire neighborhood it comes back then goes out their "Working on it." Had we not purchased a cell phone for her as backup, and for her to carry on her person at all times we would have no way to contact her or even keep her updated on her landline repair. I can't tell you what piece of mind I have knowing that my 82 year old mother has a cell phone as much as she protested she now agrees.

Cell Phones save lives everyday they are great emergency devices for anyone to carry.
ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

When used properly, they are wonderful. It's bad enough people can't go shopping without chitchatting on one, but geesh turn them off places like funeral homes, church, etc.

A friend of mine pays $80/month for his cell phone...No way I'd pay that much!

"Ah, but I get unlimited texting and internet"... :yh_eyerol

I am at this moment at a hotel in Miami and glad we have the cell phone with us as local calls and long distance calls are way too high. With wi fi in this room I could even use Skype to phone and that's either free or way cheaper than the hotel or cell. Love the new technology.
