Yes as I would think it would be fun to see what's in the bag :)

Sure I would. I've stood in the cold for less than that.

No, I wouldn't ( at least not for myself, anyway). It just seems like a waste of time to do something like that, especially if I don't know what's in the bag. I might do it for someone else, though ( if they asked me to.)

However, I have stood in line before (seriously !) for about 2 hours or so because a relative of mine wanted some big, crispy buttered doughnuts and at that time, these buttered doughnuts were all the food rave and the line was super long ( at least 20-30 people-I kid you not !!!!). Now that I look back at that, it was kind of a stupid thing to do and a waste of time, but I do things for people all of the time, stupid or not.

No, but I have stood out in the cold, snow or mud at farm and household auctions to bid on items in hopes of getting a good buy.:D

Agreed. And whatever is in the bag is probably total rubbish otherwise (a) why not sell it instead of giving it away? And (b) why is it hidden from view?

Answers:

(a) People/ companies are too avaricious to just give stuff away. It's probably advertising junk/ broken / cheap and nasty!

(b) Because it's total rubbish!

Thought: If someone makes you stand out in the cold for hours, what are they up to whilst you are queuing?

(a) making a move on your other half?

(b) buying the last item in the shop that YOU wanted to buy and they had to stop you getting their first

(c) they're sitting in that warm pub across the road, drinking pints and taking the pi** out of you for being such a pratt!
