Lost a few players last game to injuries-Polamalu, Batch and Kemoeatu. QB Dixon will be Roethlisbergers backup for the game Sunday. It's going to be an interesting game that's for sure.

Probably the same thing you have been doing, contending with snow.

Woke up to 5" of snow on the ground, then got a half inch of sleet on top of it. By the afternoon, got thunderstorms with down pouring rain. What a slushy mess. :yh_sigh

exactly the same thing here, wasn't fun using the snow blower in that slush.:-5:-5

No, snowblowers don't like slush. Mine took care of the stuff at the end of the driveway ok but not the rest. We broke out the snow shovels and did the rest by hand.

thing is to, mine does not run on gears.....so I had to push it through that heavy slush.

:-6 I hope so. In my football pool that I just put up the picks for, 2 out of 20 picked Cleveland. Of course in that pool the majority were either born in Pgh., married someone from there or have friends there, so we'll be rooting big time! A friend is driving over for the game. :-6

We had freezing rain all day long Sunday. Several inches accumulated on the ground and roadways. Temperatures fell through the night and what a sweet ride it was, trying to get to town this morning. A tractor trailer wrecked and took out some poles, knocking the power out for most of the day. We are now at 28ºF (-2C) with freezing rain again tonight, followed by snow showers through Wednesday.

I know as you mentioned this on the weather thread, I had no idea it was that bad today.

Tractor-trailers had similar problems just north of me with up to 80cm of snow in some parts, thing is they can't turn around and go home.:yh_rotfl

so they suffer the consequences.

thank goodness we have salt trucks here.
