I'll let you know how its' changed, I fly out tomorrow for my grand 36 hour visit with the grandson, back on New Year's Eve. Maybe it's not so bad on domestic flights.

I guess I will not bring a pillow for my little old back, phooey on that!

I dont imagine she'll be enjoying anything after the strip search and invasive humiliating groping in front of 10,000 strangers.

Its going to be a virtual nightmare for her.

My brother flew out of San Diego Saturday about 2 PM. The lines were extremely long. I had allowed an extra hour, over and above the usual 1 1/2 hours.

Did they have to get nekked while people sipping cocktails looked on in horror?

I am laughing Nomie, they will not pick on the little old lady with her hair up in a bun. But send me a little old terrorist my way, practice a few kicks on their face to keep in shape. :)

I just have 1 1/2 days, it is hard to ask the kids (22 & 24) to watch my husband for that long, so I have to return to my responsibilities. But I get all the time with my grandson.:-4

I'm flying to the States in early Feb and we've already been advised that Aussies are in for extra fun. We all get individually searched before we board anything America bound, including baggage and shoes (dunno what's changed there??), and we get isolated from other less foreign passengers and can't leave our seats, access hand baggage or put on makeup for the hour before we land. Nothing in our hands, nothing on our lap - not even the handsome straight flight attendant. Aussies of course get fingerprinted and eye-photo'd when we arrive... and for the last year have had to apply to enter the country online well in advance so our police records and vital statistics can be checked.

We Aussies are of course a dangerous lot.

No make-up before you land! Sounds like a violation of International Rights-the right to be a woman!

Oh, it is scarey when they just showed the airport on the news, BWI is searching everyone. I better wear my TKD shirt underneath it all...................

Little security increase at BWI, massive in ONT. Ah, but it was a lovely time, my little grandson was a happy guy, I took him to get his photo taken and gave his mommy a big picture (and she cried she was so happy) and we had a great time. I'll post the good photos tomorrow when I scan them, here is just a small one off the camera.

It is massive here in Ontario, most waits are around 10 hours to get to the states.

ahhhhhhhh he's grown and oh he's just so cute Gramma, glad you had a great visit, welcome home and Happy New Years.:-4
