something I never knew

Post by fuzzywuzzy »

And I've lived in htis country all my life.

It gets dark at six o clock in Queensland ...even in Summer. :-2

I did not know that. I just realised that when I've travelled in different parts of Australia I've always done it in winter. So when it got dark early, to me, that was normal for winter.

I'll be out in broad daylight at 9 o clock tonight putting clothes on the line.

Pammy what time does it get dark in Sydney ?

I found out it's the equator thingy. the closer you get to it the more standard the daytime sun.

They don't have a sunset like we do.

Bloody daylight at 5am though.

Still plenty of daylight here atm.

I will come back when the sun has set.

Try living in northern climes -it doesn't really get dark at all at the height of summer and in winter it's only daylight for five or six hours.

I loved it. :wah: Mind you, I was young then and frozen hair by the time I'd walked to the lecture didn't bother me.

And those looooong summer evenings and Summer Balls and the girls all in Ballgowns and champagne in the ruined Castle...

:) You just reminded me.

That must be depressing when its dark at 6 in the summer, its light here until 9pm.

4-5 am with sun shining through?

that would annoy me even worse, as it is now the cats wake me up around 7 at daybreak.

plus at that time I want it dark as I'm still sleeping.
