I just love these cookies and love to read "my fortune" after cracking them open. I got some interesting ones that I thought I would share.

I once found a shop that sold them on their own and my kids loved them, but sadly they don't stock them any more.

When I came back to the UK and asked for them they thought I was mad!
How come chinese people in New York can make cold noodles but chinese people in the UK have never heard of them?
That might sound like a ridiculous question but chinese menus tend to all be pretty much the same.

We are behind the times in some things.
Yes, you can buy knock-off videos, dvds, music cds, perfume, all that stuff that looks like the original but usually isn't (unless it's stolen!)
Back to a foodie theme...I remember once going into a McDonalds in the US and getting individual straws wrapped in paper. I thought they were great. It took another year or so before they introduced them over here. Another time when I was there, McDonalds sold cute lil bags of cookies. I was hoping they'd do that here because the kids loved them, but they never have introduced them over here.
You seem to have a far wider ranging selection of foodstuffs but then a lot of your stuff is grown inland and flown within the contiguous US states, whereas much of ours has to be imported.
I was also amazed at the size of the fruit grown in California! Ours is puny by comparison. I love the US, I wish I had the money to go back there again.
