Love tomatoes for sauces but I'm not a huge fan of them eaten raw. I do eat them in slices on sandwiches but if a slice of tomato were off of a sandwich I were eating I'd never think of one!

Tomatoes are not good for dogs, they have a high content of Flavanoids, which are good for humans but not animals, it would seem. Dark chocolate are also high in flavanoid content.

In summer, I love tomato and cucumber sandwiches with a smear of salad cream (not mayonaise - far too bland for me!). They are most refreshing.

Me too! I only buy the kind still on the vine and I sniff them first to make sure they have the right aroma. And I heard you should never keep them in the refrigerator.

I eat tomatoes every day. I love them. Beef steak tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes on the vine, Murchison tomatoes, Palinski tomatoes. I like tomatoes raw, in soups and sauces. I like tomato juice and vodka or just plain tomato juice (Bloody Mary). I like books and movies about tomatoes and often have dreams about them. Have I made myself clear?

Still suffering from the seasonal Influenza, My Doctor spent some time with me on the phone and told me to forget all these over the counter remedies. He told me to drink lots of green tea and eat as many raw tomatoe's as possible as they are the best anti-oxidents.

My Father grew all his own fruit and veg and the Tomatoe's I remember were English of course, but smaller and very very sweet. I'd love to know what variety he used all those years ago as I don't think the Beef Tomatoe's even come close to them for sweetness and Flavour.

When I was a child and teenager living at home, nearly every time my mother prepared a meal, she would ask me to go down the very long garden and dig up some Potatoe's, carrots, Onions etc. I actually asked her one day why she couldn't be like normal mothers and buy her veg in a shop !!! :(:( Oh how quickly we learn !!!
