I see by your post count that you do not have the experience of my, Spot, Clod nor Kathy's posts.
If you did, you would know that If I am In agreement with a post be it Spot's or any-one else, I will say so.
My advice to you, Is to gain experience of the members here before you make a fool of yourself next time.

My advice to you, Is to gain experience of the members here before you make a fool of yourself next time. You make yourself easy pickins'! You'd be smart to take my advice, its offered with good intentions. I can imagine things are tough for you and for that you have my well wishes. You must be a strong person, but your senses are skewed when it comes to reasoning out political and societal issues and you most likely just need to slow the process in your head down a little. Good luck to you, Oscar. I'm not going to do this with you any longer.

So Ahso... To get back to topic. As a contributer to this thread, perhaps you' like to share with us your opinion on the evidence Lord Goldsmith gave today in the Chilcot Enquirey? Do you believe his evidence Implements Jack straw further Into what is now percieved to be a pre-planned descision to oust Sadam? How do you think the findings of this enquirey will affect the Labour Government in the Election?

My only concern was a misunderstanding on the part of a friend about another friend. Thanks for the offer though.

So, what you actually mean Is that you have no Interest in the topic of the thread but you just came In to take the thread way off course by butting In with the Anti-American row that we have had here for some years now long before your time.?

A Little Churlish I feel.Thats better, Oscar, you deserve credit for being a quick learner, but I'm not surprised. Other than being on the wrong side of most issues, you're quite capable of holding your own, if out of nothing other than sheer will power. As you lessen the emotional reliances in your posts and do more reasoning of issues, I'm confident you'll do better on the issues themselves. I tip my hat to you.
I haven't taken this thread off course, others have, my agenda is to attempt to hold onto some peace while maintaining a sense of honesty to the underlying issues.
The fact is that some UK members have not been only unjustifiably accused of "hating" Americans (whatever that means) but have also been called liars when they have tried to address the accusations. American values that I've always known and stood for have been to present the evidence when accusations are made, not insist that its all some sort of dance. The accusations should not be made if thats how the conversation is going to go. Then when I attempt to step in to mediate and try to make sense of it, I'm told to but out because its a personal matter. Well if its so personal, deal with it via private message, and not on the public grandstand.
There are American members in this forum that pull no punches when it comes to insulting UK members and I don't see anyone standing up and defending those which have been insulted. If certain individuals are going to take on the responsibility of being the moral police here, then it should be unbiased.
Simply because a former member or two have made the accusation that certain members here are haters of America, that doesn't make it so. They are people for one reason or another who are just sensitive to criticism of policies, and my best guess is its because they have loved ones serving in the U.S. armed forces or family members that have been wounded or killed due to those policies.
Thanks for caring, Oscar!

As for Our Worthy Leader... I have to say that now the City boys have officially announced we are out of the recession, I do believe Gordon Brown has done a Bloody good job. It could have been far worse. Of course, the only reason the US can officially announce they are out of recession Is due to using our Prime Ministers Blueprint for bail-out. :sneaky:
If you can not see anything obnoxious about CH's comment re: the US, then I can expect nothing more from some-one so deluded he thinks the SNP will oust Brown out of Fife and secure an Independence.
Back to topic.... Interesting day tomorrow... Blair gives evidence... Can't wait. :guitarist

I have never read such banal crap in all my life and trust me, I have read the Tory manifesto !!
CH made a post STATING that the UK was the only country who liked America. CH does not speak ( Thankfully) for every citizen of every other country on this planet.
I know you are desperately trying to form buddy relationships here on FG but your cringing sucking up to some members is not only obvious, it is skin crawling. It has nothing to do with any-one having loved one's in the sevices. We have four nephews in Iraq and Afghan right now. They went there out of choice and to serve their Queen and country so your analogy is bollocks.
It is not down to any-one being the moral police here just because they state that they find a post Insulting. You are being extremely childish. You have butted Into this thread purely to Incite and arguement and take the thread off track... no other reason which shows your mentality in it's entirity.
As for caring... I care about members on this forum... However, If you think I care about you or your Inane opinions, then to use a well know British saying 'You are pissing in the wind'.

Besides my little fluffy Sporran, your wrong. I am actually surprised given you alleged Intellect that you are not a little more up to speed on the polls. It may have suited you to state that Labourites were leaving In their droves a year ago during the crash and bail-out but weather you like It or not, Labour are gaining in the polls to a point of the Tories only having a 9% lead to date. It is not enough for a Tory win and you had better get used to the scenario of GB for another 5 years. Also weather you like It or not, votes will go to Fringe Parties costing the Tories hope of a Landslide victory. It Is fair to say that many of the votes for the Fringe Parties will be protest votes, but all the same, they will be votes from people who have no faith in any mainstream Party.
I've added a link for you so you can change the old cracked record. I tend to think polls are far more accurate these days with on-line voting etc unlike the days when we woke up to find John Major as PM.

If you has read the post properly you would have noticed I said leaving the party-have a look art the membership numbers. You may think gordon has done a good job but such a belief is absurd but like all beliefs reality and reason don't need to play a part.
I think at the next election the turnout will be minimal. The SNP in Scotland have managed to antagonise many who might have considered voting for them be being just as venal and corrupt as everybody else.

Make a note in your Diaries Folks. GMC has finally admitted that the SNP have not got a hope in hell :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl
I think your wrong about turn-out. Mid term By-election tend to show apathy within the electorate such as Glenrothes, a 43% turn-out If I re-call correctly. I do believe given the Increased Interest in fringe Parties Including the rise in UKIP, the turn-out will be higher numbers than previous years. If people have lost all faith in mainstream Parties and fringe party memberships are Increasing, It Is a clear Indication that people are taking more Interest in how their country Is being run and wanting to do some-thing to change It. I predict the turn out will be as high as 80% in most area's of England. However, I predict the turn-out for Scotland will be at an all time low where the electorate has no hope.

How rude

CH made a post STATING that the UK was the only country who liked America. CH does not speak ( Thankfully) for every citizen of every other country on this planet.
I know you are desperately trying to form buddy relationships here on FG but your cringing sucking up to some members is not only obvious, it is skin crawling. It has nothing to do with any-one having loved one's in the sevices. We have four nephews in Iraq and Afghan right now. They went there out of choice and to serve their Queen and country so your analogy is bollocks.

Do you see that as some sort of weakness on my part? Or have you once again slipped back into your heated state?
You know, anger is not the best source of motivation or justification for ones opinions. I know at times anger seems to help us kind of chug along on will power, and when we make it past another day we fool ourselves into thinking our "righteous" anger got us there. What you may not understand is that you would have made it to today anyway even without all the emotional highs and lows you put yourself through. Its an addiction quite simply put. Earlier I said you must be a strong person, but are you strong enough to beat this addiction? Most don't, even many stronger than you.
