Overcoming Boredom?

Post by Lon »

There are soooo many things that one can do to overcome boredom and it does not require other people. Some of these things can improve your mental capacity, some your physical capacity and others your creative and spiritual capacities. It just requires a bit of self discipline and determination.

Teach yourself to play the Harmonica (easy)

Teach yourself to play Bongos (accompany Latin Music)

Teach yourself to play the Guitar or Ukulele

Learn to juggle three balls (apples---oranges--) easy----then add a fourth

Take up painting---drawing----sculpting-----carving

Do Jig Saw Puzzles

Memorize things----poetry

Learn Yoga

Meditate

See how many push ups you can do----go for 10---then 25---50 ---100

Do sit ups-----------------10-----25------50------100

Read a book-------------heaven for bid :wah:

In the absence of any of the above--------there is always FG as a last resort.

You know Lon there is being alone, then there is lonely. I do a lot of things a lone. Since my hubby is away at work a lot ( or was until he got laid off). find things you like to do and go do them. Half of being BORED is having a Pitty party. Just go do whatever FLOATS YOUR BOAT:). If $$$$ is the issue there is a lot things and places you can go for Free or real close to it.;) A game plan for those times helps to. Look at your local paper. there are lots of ideas in there. Or i forgot, the News paper has almost died out.

Lon I tried to teach myself how to juggle OMG I found it incredibly difficult...I know I have no athletic skills now when I can't even juggle ahahahahahaha
