Vaso Vagal any-one???

Post by Oscar Namechange »

Apparently, I've just had one.

My lovely husband phoned Doctors on call as I had come over a little queer. I felt very sick, cold, clammy, dizzy and faint earlier this evening. I had no chest pains but they Insisted I went to my local Hospital to be checked out. Hats off to the NHS once again. I was seen Immediately.

The verdict... I have suffered a Vaso Vagal which I never knew existed.

If we were talking about people, pricks would be a name given to men who bully, and that reference would indicate a history of being bullied, but thats not what you meant, is it?

Anyway I'm glad you're feeling better. Try not to let yourself get too excited, in case thats why you fainted.

First of all... I was never bullied nor was I a bully myself. Having two elder brothers No-one dared bully me.

My queer turn was not due to getting excited. I only get excited when my horse runs. i'm afraid the cause of my turn was nothing more exciting than a far too hot bath that I soaked In for over an hour.

Anyway, I'm glad you're better.

I was one of the more lucky victims of bullying from my father and eldest brother. I became a bully myself for a time but was called on it and decided to take a look at myself and confront my past. that in turn gave me the power to learn about bullying and rise above the damage my father and brother had caused.

Incidentally, both my father and brother would have also died to keep me safe. They were bullies because they learned it from someone else too. And I never realized I had been bullied either.

I took a chance and put that before you so you understand that I'm actually on your side.

You seem to have a hang up on bullying.

I was never a bully, I tended to be more of a carer, I always defended the less fortunate. I still always back the Under-dog with the Exception of my avatar. My brothers were very athletic ( Still are) and no-one picks on the kids who excel at football etc.

Alot of the work I do In my community Is for the elderly or one's the council like to trample under foot because they are too timid to voice an opinion. If that makes me a bully later In life then so be It. I had amazing Parents especially a strong father who gave us the most Important thing a man can give his child..... Belief In themselves.

You are well too stressed young lady! Vasodilation and stimulation of the vagus nerve (hyperventilation, missus!) affects lots of things like BP and heart palpitations. Calm down! Nice cuppa and duvet day should sort you out!

Its so much more descriptive to use the good old Anglo Saxon "Tosser". Then everyone will know how much you love the bones of me. :wah:

:-4 I know what you say Is correct Raven because you a nurse. However, when I had this Vaso Vagal, I was not stressed In the slightest. I'd had a very relaxing evening at home and was fine until I had the bath with very hot water. My blood pressure had dropped drastically but that's what the local hospital diagnosed it as.
